Since 1830, Mauviel professional copper cookware has been used in the world's great kitchens – from fine restaurants to Parisian cooking schools. The newly engineered M250C is a fusion of 2.5mm heavy-gauge copper and stainless steel, so every piece benefits from the superior heat conductivity of copper while providing nonreactive 18/10 stainless-steel cooking surfaces. The combination of materials gives this large sauté pan the ability to quickly cook and brown meat and vegetables.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LONETREERUNNER from Its big and beautiful ! It just arrived today! The order took awhile to receive but was definitely worth the wait. I wanted a stainless steel version of my hammered copper rondeau with a long pot handle. Fit and finish are excellent, a Mauviel standard. It is lighter than my 3mm rondeau and the electroplated stainless steel handles transfers less heat than the bronze handles do! The black handles are more textured( non slip grip) than my 250c fry pan. Two handles are must with this size of a pan, I tried lifting with two hands on one handle. Awkward , uncomfortable . Excellent uniform heating and cooking similar to my Mauviel copper rondeau. The best .Cleaning is a breeze, wipe out in warm water with a towel or sponge. And WOW, the price was incredible! Of the 15 Mauviel copper cookware pieces I own, I had no problems or issues these .From potato steamer to copper sugar pot ,their cookware is the best you can invest in. Looks gorgeous and the cooking taste great. Your family and friends will testify to that. My does. Yours will too.Last generations, heirloom quality.Date published: 2018-07-24Rated 5 out of 5 by Dizzy from How can this be true? This is my first foray into copper pots. I have been shopping for this pot for the better part of two years. The prices were from $650-710. When I saw this item I thought there must be a catch. I communicated with Mauviel USA and Mauviel in France. This item is exactly the one I wanted but made exclusively for William Sonnoma. It took two months to arrive but when it did it dd not dissapoint. With ilid weighs 9.10lb. I can't wait to put it through the paces, I will then re -review.Date published: 2018-02-12Rated 5 out of 5 by EnjoyLife from WOW! This review is for those familiar with the Mauviel line, already knowing the benefits and pricing of thicker copper with a stress-free stainless lining. The pan as described, 5 qt @ $350, was too good to be true. [Based on other WS product description errors] I was expecting to receive something thinner, smaller or tin lined. I did not and couldn't be happier! Mine registered 9.4 lbs, of which 1.6 is the lid. It's 3.5" deep and filled to the very top, can hold 5.75 quarts of liquid. Caution for those unfamiliar with thick copper: After buying one at auction, I'm hooked and have now amassed a 9 pan collection (so far). Stainless lined is by far my favorite; re-tinning costs $5 per square inch plus shipping.Date published: 2017-07-16
