  • Oven, broiler and freezer safe.
  • Medium cooktop heat recommended.
  • Can be used with induction cooktops – see instructions (available separately).


  • Allow pan to cool before washing.
  • Hand-wash; dry immediately with a soft cloth.
  • Avoid using steel wool, steel scouring pads or harsh detergents.
  • Copper will develop a rich patina over time. This will not affect the pan's cooking performance. To keep the exterior looking new, use a copper polish or a combination of lemon and salt.

For an additional charge of $26 per address, we can expedite delivery to most destinations. Orders received by 9:00 p.m. ET Monday through Thursday will arrive the next business day; orders placed Friday through Sunday will arrive on the following Tuesday.

Return Policy

At Williams Sonoma, we take great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our products. Attention to design, materials, safety and construction are our priority. Upon receipt, please inspect your purchase and notify us of any damage; we will arrange for a prompt replacement.

If within 30 days, you are dissatisfied for any reason, you may return your purchase for a refund of the merchandise value. An original receipt or gift receipt is required for all returns and exchanges. Returns with a gift receipt will be refunded in the form of a Merchandise Credit for the amount indicated on the gift receipt.     Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful pan! I have the 8" pan and I really enjoy cooking in it. I use it mostly for frying up eggs or quickly reheating individual-sized portions of leftovers. Nothing sticks to it and it heats evenly. I will say that it developed a patina rather quickly (by the first use is was pretty dark brown), despite not using a flame higher than medium. That said, it's nothing a little lemon and salt or Copperbrill can't fix.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing frypan My first Mauviel fry pan and wish it was my first fry pan. Seeing is believing. This fry pan cooks much more evenly than my Calphalon and All-clad. It's not like I didn't like by other pans and yet the way Mauvel distributes its heat is amazing. Better heating at a lower temp setting. Cast iron handles work very well at not retaining heat. Pans with 2.5mm thickness produce the best results. The 2.5mm pan weighs heavier but the results outweigh the extra weight .Copperbrill is the best copper cleaner I have found and even cleans stains on the stainless steel interior! Mauviel copper cookware is a excellent investment, whether from a sugar pan to a daubiere/ braising pan the results are amazing.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly Surprised Having two well loved pieces of commercial 3mm copper cookware made me nervous purchasing this pan. I immediately tested it using a range of foods including eggs, crepes, fish and jelly with spectacular results. The stainless interior enabled a stressless cooking experience over the more fragile tin and although tin is considered less sticky, I did not notice a difference. The only difference was a very slight increase in heat over what I use for the 3mm pans. The M250C 10" fry pan weighs a manageable 4.2 pounds.

    Hi Copper, None of our current Mauviel collections have a cast iron handle. Our M250C line is cast stainless steel that is electroplated to resemble cast iron.

    I just bought other copper pans with cast iron handles but it looks like a molded plastic. I would prefer traditional cast iron handles. Is it traditional cast iron handle??

    Will the bottom of this pan harm a ceramic top range?

    Hi Cookie7, This pan has a copper covered bottom. It is compatible with a ceramic cooktop. However, if it is overheated, it can leave a residue that will permanently stain the ceramic cooktop.

    What are the handles are made out of? Online I'm getting mixed answers of cast iron or cast stainless steel handle with iron electroplated finish. If it's the latter, can someone explain what that is?

    Hi Ramona, The handles are electroplated cast stainless steel. Electroplating is the process of coating a metal with a thin layer of another metal by electrolysis to improve the metal's corrosion resistance. It also helps keep the handles cool.
