Fresh lobster is one of the world’s greatest culinary luxuries—and these wild-caught crustaceans are the best we’ve ever tasted. They’re sustainably harvested from Cundy’s Harbor, home to the oldest commercial lobster village in Maine, then shipped on the same day they are pulled from the pristine Atlantic waters. The succulent meat has a sweet, delicate flavor—a perfect partner for the creamy richness of melted butter.

Refrigerate the lobsters immediately upon receipt. Live lobsters will keep, refrigerated, up to 24 hours. It is important to keep them moist, covering them with the seaweed provided or a damp towel, until ready to cook. We recommend placing the lobsters on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator, where it is coolest. If you wish, you can place the lobsters in a large baking dish or bowl while in the refrigerator. They have limited movement abilities and will not roam in your refrigerator.
It is important that you do not let the lobsters dry out. Never:
- Store live lobsters in water.
- Place them directly on ice.
- Wrap them in plastic wrap.
- Store in an airtight container.
All of the above can cause the lobsters to suffocate.
The lobsters will be sluggish upon arrival. Handle them with care and be gentle; pick them up by the body, just behind the head, not by the claws or the tail. Excessive force when handling can cause stress or internal injuries, which can weaken or kill the lobsters. It is best to handle them as little as possible. The rubber bands around the claws should be kept in place until you are ready to cook the lobsters.

A more accurate delivery date will be quoted on the payment page. Perishable food items are not eligible for rush shipping. Please not that we do not ship perishable food items outside the contiguous 48 states or to P.O. Boxes.

Next Day Delivery
For an additional charge of $26 per address, we can expedite delivery to most destinations. This service is not available for some oversize items, items shipped directly from the supplier (including perishable and custom-manufactured items), out-of-stock items and items to be shipped outside the contiguous 48 states.
Orders received by 9:00 p.m. ET Monday through Thursday will arrive the next business day; orders placed Friday through Sunday will arrive on the following Tuesday.
At Williams Sonoma, we take great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our products. Attention to design, materials, safety and construction are our priority. Upon receipt, please inspect your purchase and notify us of any damage; we will arrange for a prompt replacement.
If within 30 days, you are dissatisfied for any reason, you may return your purchase for a refund of the merchandise value. An original receipt or gift receipt is required for all returns and exchanges. Returns with a gift receipt will be refunded in the form of a Merchandise Credit for the amount indicated on the gift receipt. Returns with original receipt will be refunded in the original form of payment, cash and check refunds over $100 will be issued as a company check (may take 14 business days from time of request).

We cannot accept returns on monogrammed, personalized, special-order items, custom upholstery, food, items shipped direct from the vendor or on items damaged through normal wear and tear. Final sale items ending in .97 or .99 cannot be returned.

It showed up a day earlier than the time mentioned on shipping. In terms of the taste...fantastic. I have never handled lobster in my life and was luckily able to find some youtube videos on how to make a bloody mary tri color bowtie pasta with fresh lobster meat. While I was very scared to have prepared undercooked fish...I made sure to follow the recipe. Make Sure to cook for 20 minutes. I most certainly will be purchasing again to experience the process of cooking this delicacy. A word of warning. THEY DO SMELL BIG TIME. The lobsters arrived a day early and the other couple couldn't come and one of the lobsters was missing a claw, barely moving and dead by the next morning. The lobsters tasted wonderful and my husband really enjoyed them. In the future, would be better to pinpoint what day they would arrive at time of order.Date published: 2012-01-14
