- More about Le Creuset
The first Le Creuset foundry opened in 1925 in Fresnoy-le-Grand, France, and specialized in cast-iron cookware. The cast-iron pieces are still made at the original factory, using the traditional techniques of hand forging and casting in individual sand molds. The brightly pigmented porcelain-enamel glaze that first set Le Creuset cookware apart from other cast-iron cookware now comes in a wide range of traditional and contemporary colors. In 2013, Le Creuset began producing innovative stainless-steel cookware in Portugal with lids that incorporate the same signature three-ring design as the company’s classic cast-iron pieces. This stainless-steel collection was awarded the prestigious 2014 Red Dot Award for product design.
Rated 1 out of 5 by MelWho from Low quality I bought this amongst other utensils. I used a spoon one time in barbecue sauce and it stained green. Super disappointed! Yes, it’s white but for the price paid quality is expected.Date published: 2019-07-07Rated 1 out of 5 by Maricela from The spatulas stain too easily I bought a white set a few years ago and after owning them for a while, I feel the spatulas stained too easily. My opinion is the basting brush is absolutely worthless- ineffective and hard to clean. At the time I bought, I didn't know my preference on spatulas that separate from the handle and now I'd never buy again. Quite unhappy with this purchase.Date published: 2016-07-16Rated 4 out of 5 by Nunderwood from Good Looking Set This set of utensils and the jar arrived as expected. Nice looking set which I am sure will be very useful. I'm not giving 5 stars as I have yet to actually use it and I have no idea how they will hold up over time.Date published: 2015-01-04Rated 5 out of 5 by FriendlyCook2 from Quality Tool Set I received this as a gift, and I love it. Since there are many tools I have exactly what I need to cook with. The handles are sturdy, and the silicone holds up to the heat and retains its shape. The color is beautiful and just like in the photo.Date published: 2014-09-20Rated 5 out of 5 by Kalamitykelli from Perfect Gift! I purchased myself one and one to give away on my blog. I wanted to use it first so I could tell my readers how good (or not so good) the utensils were. They are soft, pliable and flexible while not retaining stains from using in spaghetti sauce etc... The "butter brush" is even better! just use it and throw it in the dishwasher. The crock is quality and I know the reader who receives it through my giveaway will be more than thrilled with it!Date published: 2013-04-29
