Rated 1 out of 5 by sbfl19 from Covered in scratches Purchased 11 months ago, and dishes started showing scratches from utensils within a few months. After almost a year of use, they are so scratched I won’t use them with company. Very disappointed, especially for the cost.Date published: 2019-02-18Rated 1 out of 5 by Janet from Reconsider before buying! When I saw the white Le Creuset place setting in the store, I knew that I had to have them as my everyday dishes. They are beautiful dishes and are a nice hefty weight. I was excited to be purchasing new dinnerware. At checkout, I was advised by the sales associate to store the dishes with a coffee filter between each plate and bowl to prevent any unnecessary scratching. I wasn't too keen on this idea since I planned to use the dishes on a daily basis, but I followed the sales associates recommendation and placed coffee filters between each dish when I stored them in my cabinet. Yes, it was a little annoying to place a filter between each dish as I removed them from the dishwasher, but I did it because I loved these dishes and wanted to keep them beautiful. Unfortunately after only using our dishes for two weeks, the dinner plates began to show scratches on them from our knives and forks. The scratches were not huge, but considering we had only used them for 2 weeks, I couldn't imagine what they would look like after a year, much less 10 years. As much as I wanted to keep these dishes, I ended up returning them. The sales associate was not surprised as she had seen this before with the Le Creuset dinnerware.Date published: 2019-02-16Rated 3 out of 5 by Shazer from Plates quickly look worn After nearly a year of use, my Le Creuset plates and pasta bowls look worn. I contrast this to our old Noritake set, which took at least a decade to show this much wear. Le Creuset plates especially show lots of scratches and marks, which is not what I expected from such a robust feeling and pricey set.Date published: 2019-01-28Rated 1 out of 5 by Beverly from Poor Quality The finish is very thin and fragile. One of the plates chipped in the dishwasher after less than six months. Utensils leave scratches on the surface. I expected a much higher quality product from Le Creuset! Very disappointed!Date published: 2018-03-27Rated 1 out of 5 by Rob C from Pretty color, very poor quality. I am extremely disappointed with the quality of this product. The Lapis color scratches so easily that after less than one month of use these look significantly worse than the 20 year old set of dishes I replaced. Every cutlery mark is visible as a bright white scratch on these dishes. Maybe the lighter colors will fare better, but I expected more from Le Creuset. What is bizarre is I have used the Le Creuset coffee mugs in this style for years and they look brand new, though they are a different color. I am debating about returning the entire set of 12, including the serving plates, and purchasing something else.Date published: 2018-02-12Rated 5 out of 5 by Kitchen Enthusiast from Wonderful set! This set is super tough and hasn't shown any sign of scratching or chipping despite my best efforts. They are beautiful (I bought French Gray) and can be casual or formal (I put copper chargers underneath). Great size plates and bowls and I love the rim around the plate. They are stoneware so they're a bit heavy, but not too heavy. I bought the whole set and love them!Date published: 2017-11-17Rated 5 out of 5 by Tanya from My husband loves these dishes! I’ve had these dishes for almost 2 months and I’m getting ready to order another set. We’ve had absolutely no problems with chipping using our dishwasher.Date published: 2017-10-28Rated 2 out of 5 by sharon from Chipped after one week I purchased these to replace my dishes of 20 years after remodeling our kitchen. They are good heavy plates (larger than anticipated). After about one week of normal use, one of the dinner plates chipped in the dishwasher. Disappointing as I purchased them after reading the description stating they resist chips.Date published: 2017-09-14

Do these dishes heat up in the microwave especially the mug handles?
Hi barrb, If you are cooking something in them on high for 6 or 8 minutes, they will become hot to the touch and will require a pot holder to remove. If you are only heating up something for 2 or 4 minutes, then they will not become hot to the touch.Date published: 2019-02-06
