The design of these steak knives was inspired by a shepherd's tool first manufactured in the French village of Laguiole in the 19th century. Resembling original models that were made to fold and fit in a pocket, our knives are crafted by the Dubost family of thicker, heavier-gauge stainless steel than other Laguiole cutlery and flatware on the market. Each is hand polished and finished for a difference in quality you can really see and feel in the hand.
- Set includes four steak knives and a wooden storage case.
- High-quality, heavy-gauge stainless steel provides superior durability and stain resistance and pleasing heft.
- Slightly curved blade with serrated edge cuts easily through meat.
- Bolsters are decorated with a tiny bee, a symbol of France's Laguiole region.
- Handles of molded resin with three stainless-steel rivets.
- Individually polished and finished by hand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by steak from Great steak knives I’ve had these knives for two years now, and trust me when I say, this interpretation of the lagiole knife style is the best there is. The double serrations (small serrations inside of the larger serrations) make cutting any steak easy, and fiberous cuts easier than with any other knife I’ve used — and I’ve used a fair amount of different steak knives. I initially used these knives to eat a bone-in ribeye at a restaurant in Napa Valley and fell in love with the weight, feel and ease of use. The black marble color has a high quality look and feel to it, and I get comments whenever I host and serve with these. My only complaint is that they don’t come in sets of 6, so if you have a knife block with 6 steak knife slots you’ll have to get 2 sets of 4 like me, although the extra two do come in handy when feeding the extra mouths. Bottom line, I can’t recommend these enough. The fact that I have returned two years later to leave this review should serve as testament to what an incredible buy these knives were!Date published: 2019-08-01Rated 5 out of 5 by Grummitt from Really nice daily knives I've had these for about 7 years and use them 1-2 days a week. They are wonderful to hold and use. Not sure why the other reviewer said they're not sharp. I have no complaints or issues with cutting everything I use them for.Date published: 2015-01-11Rated 2 out of 5 by fraimbo from Not impressed with these knives Was expecting better quality. Cutting anything with these is a struggle. Wouldn't recommend.Date published: 2014-12-06
Do they only resemble older models that fold over and fit in a pocket, or do they actually fold over?Hi BMcD, These steak knives do not fold over.Date published: 2019-11-04
