Rated 5 out of 5 by WufPup from love it! i've been using my sheet cutter for lasagna and veggie summer rolls. I haven't yet tried using the thick blade, but the thin blade has proven indispensable. I have seen a lot of comments about the amount of waste due to cutting the veggies down and the core itself. While yes, this can be an issue, when I cut butternut squashes, I wind up just chopping up the leftovers and adding them to my meat sauce. For other fruits and veggies that can be eaten raw (zucchini, cucumbers, apples, etc.), I snack on them while I'm cooking. I'm tempted to purchase the (newly released?) noodle blade, as I don't really want to purchase an entire dedicated appliance for my relatively small kitchen.Date published: 2019-06-03Rated 5 out of 5 by RHall from Make low carb eating easier! I saw this advertised online and was mesmorized at what it did. I rewatched the video and told my husband check this out, I want one! Next day it arrived and I was slicing everything just to watch it. So the weekend came and usually do all my meal prep in the weekends and my first thing I did was and apple, filo dought layered dessert that was a hit! Then I sliced up a bunch of zucchini's and made spinach artichoke manicotti using zucchini for the shells. I was giving everyone a taste of it and everyone that tried it wanted the recipe. I just put a zucchini lasagna in the over. I cant wait to try more. The husband want turnips next. Only negative it width capability, but If you cut the zucchini in half it makes the perfect width for lasagna like noodles!Date published: 2019-06-01Rated 5 out of 5 by Erin72 from So Easy To Use!! Got this for Christmas and finally used it to make some low card spicy tuna roll ups. This was awesome!! I will be using this a lot more! I see a zucchini lasagna in my near future!Date published: 2019-05-27Rated 4 out of 5 by Bellacooks from Get your "Veg" on! We have been eating SOOOO many more veggies since I bought the KitchenAid Vegetable Sheet Cutter. It's only been a week but the journey has only begun and the possibilities are almost endless. We adore wraps but don't want the extra carbs. Enter the lovely long sheets of "veg" that have taken wraps to a whole new level. Even sweet potato, cut and brushed with EVO and thrown on the grill pan for a quick sear/heat/soften makes the best wrap imaginable. Take that burger, a bit of cheese, fresh sweet pea shoots and hummus and wrap it up in the sweet potato wrapper and you'll gladly give up that carb heavy bun! Zoodles (Zucchini noodles) with pesto and toasted walnuts came out perfectly. How about a unique take on breakfast with delicate sheets of Granny Smith apples stuffed with rolled oats, pecans, craisins and honey then baked in the oven and topped with Greek yoghurt? The only difficulty I've had is with butternut squash but I've read many other reviews that suggest this is one of the toughest ones to manage due to the hollow seed-filled core. Despite the challenge, I used just the top solid part of the squash and made an incredible butternut squash lasagne filled with coasrely chopped oyster mushrooms in a mornay sauce and finished with fried sage leaves and fresh Grana Padano...can I honestly say it was more satisfying than my homemade lasagne noodles? Yes! This is a game changer and I'm looking forward to playing and creating countless other beautiful and flavorful recipes with the new attachment. It works very well on harder veggies. Only issue comes with soft core veggies like large seeded cucumbers. The holders are inserted into the core area and that material is not strong enough, so for large cukes maybe not the best choice, but zucchini, potatoes and other veggies, works great. Blades are good and sharp. Eliminating grains, nightshades and fruit has enabled me to put 11 diseases in remission. The vegetable sheet cutter enables me to make wraps where I once would have used bread or tortillas. To me, this attachment is a life saver.
