Rated 2 out of 5 by CALIFORNIADREAMING from POOR PERFORMANCE As others have noted the attachments do not reach the bottom of the bowl. I have to lower the bowl and by hand incorporate the product then lift the bowl and turn on the motor. What engineer would design a product with such a flaw and then the manufacturer decides to put this in the line? Can you imagine buying a car and your foot cannot reach the gas peddle! And then there is the noise this baby makes. I am now using my 1966 KitchenAid. No it isn't beautiful, finish is dull from use, but it does what it is intended to do and it hummmms.Date published: 2019-03-08Rated 1 out of 5 by UncleBaker99 from Poor Quality--Short Life Span I received this Kitchenaid Pro 600 mixer for Christmas two years ago and now the worm follower gear has failed. There is no reason a professional grade product like this should fail with minimal use. This is a downgrade in quality and an inferior product. Reaching out to support didn’t help because they would not stand behind their product since it was past the one-year warranty. All I wanted was the gear and grease sent to me free of charge so I could repair this product. Buyer beware! Stay away from this product! Don’t be fooled by the fancy colors as the internal part will fail on you and support will not provide any assistance beyond the one-year warranty. Hnmnm I wonder why they only have a one-year warranty…JUNK… Stick with another brand!Date published: 2019-01-30Rated 5 out of 5 by Jamie from Love this mixer I’ve had the Artisan for 15 years and loved it. I gave that one to my daughter so I decided to get a new one. I was worried about the reviews on the professional series without the tilting head, but I actually prefer this model. I can keep it farther back under the cabinet and I have more counter space since I don’t have to tilt the mixer back as far. It works great... I haven’t had any problems with the mixing... I find it to be better than my Artisan and so glad I purchased this one.Date published: 2018-11-23Rated 3 out of 5 by MsPiggie from Tilt Head versus Lift Bowl I have owned 6 qt this for over a year now so have had ample experience. I bought it to replace a perfectly good 20 yearl old 4 qt tilt head that I gave to my mom. I love that the new one is larger and more powerful. But those advantages come with issues; (1) it is hard not to make a mess when adding ingredients, the head is always in the way, (2) the 6 qt Flex Edge beater I purchased DOES not fit and even when I tried adjusting - there is no way to use it without damaging the machine, (3) there is also no way to NOT make a mess when removing the bowl and or beater, the drop bowl just doesn't give enough clearance, (4) sometimes when turning on, it doesn't respond so I have to turn it off and on several times before it will engage. So call me a pain, I love to bake but don't like things that make more work for me, like clean up.Date published: 2017-12-18Rated 5 out of 5 by CulinaryCailliers from Wife loves the machine My wife uses this mixer all the time. We have multiple attachments for it which adds to the value of the machine. It is a little loud but for something this big it is expected.Date published: 2017-06-14Rated 1 out of 5 by Ankelbiter5 from I had dreamed of this mixer Bent bowl received knew oneflat beater hits the bowl still not fixed very disappointed as I have a mixer I cannot use what a waste of money.so now I still make bread by my dependable hands.Date published: 2015-11-10Rated 4 out of 5 by GinaLaLa from So loud can't give 5 stars I have had my KitchenAid Professional 600 for 8+ years -- it is absolutely wonderful and I can bake anything because of the prep that this fantastic mixer can perform -- The only exception and it is a big one, is that it is soooo loud it compares to an airplane engine in my kitchen. Way to loud. I am sending it out for "repair". I hope it comes back much quieter. My goodness!Date published: 2015-11-04Rated 5 out of 5 by JRawson from A MUST HAVE I have had my Professional 600 for 10 years and going strong, when this one dies I will replace with the same thing in no time. I love the larger size, I can do a triple batch of cookies in no time. Worth the extra $100 if you love to bake.Date published: 2015-10-19
