KitchenAid® 7-Qt. Scraper Bowl Attachment
Rated 5 out of 5 by MimiCook from Wonderful I have used a 4.5qt Kitchtenaid stand mixer for several years but was finding the bowl wasn't large enough for my recipes ! I bought this 7qt and love it. I did wash with olive oil & warm soapy water ( as found in the tips and tricks page) to remove any old polish from the stainless, and performed the "dime" test. I did watch uTube videos to learn how to remove/insert the bowl with ease. (very helpful) Also found tips and tricks on internet. The mixer does move a bit if on higher speed but I've not used it yet on anything greater than 4. Can't wait to make more wonderful things from it. You won't regret getting it. Ready to get more attachments and try things out. Thanks. Great for making bread which makes my life easier. I also made pies which was faster than doing it by hand, and it is quieter. Would recommend it to everyone. I gave the old unit to my parents, who were still using a 30 year 4 quart unit. The best feature is the KitchenAid DC powered motor. While the KitchenAid AC motor works well, the DC motor is smoother and quieter. The power delivery is very consistent with the DC motor, especially when utilizing the attachments. I will be using the attachments I have accumulated over the years. I'm glad KitchenAid has continued to keep the attachment design consistent through model upgrades. Its great to not have to replace attachment units already bought. I was pleased with my previous two KitchenAid stand mixers. I have only upgraded to increase capacity. This unit was definitely worth the investment. If you have not had a KitchenAid stand mixer I highly recommend all KitchenAid stand mixers...they all have worked well...each successive unit is better than the one it replaced. And I believe they were all better than the competition. In my experience, spending a bit more for a KitchenAid stand mixer has been worth every penny. Upgrading to larger capacity units has been a joy. Purchasing one with the DC motor is worth more than every penny! My old 6 quart gave out recently after a particularly stiff dough and I was faced choosing a new mixer. I decided to upgrade to the 7 quart Pro Line and glad I did. The mixer is incredibly powerful and surprisingly very quiet. It also seems more stable when mixing and I don't get the movement across the counter I did with the older model. Egg whites are a thing of beauty with the new whisk, making butter was a breeze, and dough kneads beautifully. The larger bowl is great and I love the cast iron color that matches many of the pans I have hanging on the rack. It is very expensive, but got it on sale. Happy with the new machine! It's powerful and the bowl is exactly what I needed. The cord is short and I have to have a power source close, but I love it otherwise [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]Date published: 2019-02-25Rated 5 out of 5 by Shawna73 from Outstanding product for bakers!!! I received this as a gift even though I already had a Kitchen Aid Artisan line that is over 10 years old. I LOVE the 7 quart bowl as I can make multiple batches in 1 bowl and it definitely helps me save time. The motor is that which is able to handle the multiples batches of product and because it is so powerful, using my attachments (i.e. Food Grinder) is a breeze!! So glad I have this and so is my family now that I bake a lot more!!! I love it! It is do quiet. Bread making seemed a simple task for it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]Date published: 2019-02-22Rated 5 out of 5 by KSully from Well-tuned machine I have been using a Kitchen Aid 5-quart lift model for the past 30 years. Recently, the motor has become a little noisy, so and I decided to update. Initially, I purchased a 6-quart Lift Stand mixer and was shocked at how noisy it was. While I was using it for the first time, my husband, who was returning home at the other end of the house, called out "What is that?!" That's when I knew I had to return it. I'd assumed all newer models would be noisy until I read a Cook's Illustrated review which highly praised this 7-quart model but noted that the 6-quart model was noisy. So, I decided to attempt another mixer and am thrilled with my purchase. First of all, it purrs like a kitten. Second, I was worried that such a large bowl wouldn't be able to handle small quantities. I watched how it creamed a single stick of butter and was surprised that it did a better job than my old mixer with its smaller bowl. The blade has better contact with the bowl than my older model. So, I'm happy to say that I've started another cooking journey with my new "kitchen friend". (BTW I'm keeping my old friend--she's getting moved to our vacation home) [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]Date published: 2019-02-21
