Rated 3 out of 5 by Dave from Kitchen-Aid lost its shine So I had a grey mixer before that I loved. But the copper one always caught my eye so I decided to fork out the extra money and gave my grey one away. It’s been less than a year and I regret it already. First there was a sticker that wouldn’t come off. And I called support to see what could safely be used. Turns out not much of anything at all. So I wore blisters on my fingers getting it off. Then fast forward a few months and I’m getting dark brown spots that do not come off. I basically bought it for show and now it has warts all over it. Not to mention it doesn’t have the power of my grey mixer (same brand just not metallic). Now I’m looking at buying a different one because it kills me to see the spots on what was once a shiny dream.Date published: 2019-01-04Rated 1 out of 5 by DebR from Very disappointed Twice. My family got me the Metallic Copper Kitchen Aid for Mother's Day. I have had one for 25 years and loved my old one. My first one came missing the spring off of the beater shaft that holds the beaters firm. We sent it back for an exchange. I thought, no big deal, that happens sometimes. I just got the replacement. No spring on the beater shaft. I am SO disappointed! I guess Kitchen Aid has gone down in quality over the last 25 years. I'll be retuning it. Don't think I get another one.Date published: 2017-05-14Rated 5 out of 5 by lifeasmikey from Coppery lustrous piece Bought this mixer about a month ago and its been the showpiece of the kitchen. Came in the box wrapped up in plastic ready to plug and play. I added the glass bowl separately which helps show off the shiny copper tone even more. This mixer does have some different key features not shown on the WS stock website photos, the copper mixer has now a nice chromed out Kitchenaid logo trim band, on the web photos its black but this mixer came with a chrome/silver band. So excited to use this mixer and put it to use!!Date published: 2017-03-14Rated 1 out of 5 by jjduxbury from Not assembled properly After 35 years of use with my ivory classic KitchenAid which runs just fine I decided to give my old one to a friend and treat myself to the new chrome one. It arrived with the upper unit not properly attached to the body of the mixer head. It had smudges all over the chrome. The warrantee certificate had food stains on it and the owner's manual was dog-eared. A new one is in the process of being shipped. Quite disappointed so far. I would recommend KitchenAid as my old one is a workhorse, but what is going on with shipping out defective/soiled product?Date published: 2017-03-03Rated 5 out of 5 by rsr from Best Wedding Gift EVER Have had my KA Artisan mixer for over 20 years and have added attachments over time. Unfortunately this is one I GAVE. Got this as a wedding gift for my nephew (and am so jealous of his bride's gorgeous COPPER KA!). Got the onyx black for my son when he moved to a new home. He considers the KA Artisan to be the "tractor" in his kitchen because it is such a workhorse and has so many "tools" (e.g., attachments) to use with the one primary motor source, just like a tractor on a farm. Completely agree!Date published: 2015-11-19Rated 5 out of 5 by Mom2threeboys from Sixteen yrs of service...still beautiful. I feel compelled to write a review bc this beauty is not only your assistant in the kitchen, it's five assistants! It does everything u ask of it; wo hesitation, wo a mess, and just so effortlessly. It's so stable. It's so smooth. It makes any type of mixing, blending, folding, etc. so easy. I love it! Every kitchen should have one. I don't know how it compares to its KA counterparts, but I gotta say, after 16yrs., it works like the first time I used it. It looks like the first day I took it out of its box. And I've never polished it. Can't ask for more.Date published: 2014-07-03Rated 5 out of 5 by Frankie3 from 8 years and like new! My wife bought me the Metallic Series 5qt mixer over 8 years ago and it is nicknamed "Harley"! You hardly ever see this mixer in kitchens. Ours see plenty of use and the chrome like stainless exterior features clean easily and look absolutely like new. It should last for several generations. Besides my wife, it is the pride of our kitchen!Date published: 2013-12-29
