Rated 5 out of 5 by SueNYS from Use it all the time Love it. I am 61 yrs. It makes a meal of stir fry quick/easy. I cut the bulky stems of broccoli and slice them thin. No waste of food. I slice up my carrots, bag some for meals within a week. Do have to cut potatoes, cabbage and large stems to fit the shoot. At times the broccoli stem pieces don’t go down, they go off sideways and needs cleaning out when done using. Cleaning right a way requires a rinse. Letting it sit over night which I have done requires using a sponge to get tiny pieces of carrot off but really not too bad. I am eating more vegetables. I am more of a baker than a cook so it has expanded my cooking world. It does require a bit of space to store. I never liked having to get things out put together to use, take apart, clean, store, you get the picture. But I find this not troublesome at all. The blades come in a plastic box with flip up top. I labeled the blade spots so I can put them back correctly so the cover closes.Date published: 2016-08-08Rated 2 out of 5 by Verizon from Food Processor Attachment I bought this attachment and did not find it useful. First, position of the tool is too high from the cooking table surface, and I needed to place bucket or box to lift a bowl to collect cut pieces. If I not lift a bowl to collect outcomes, then all food that coming out from the cutter will be all around my cooking table. Second, it intended to cut ONLY row vegetables. If you need to cut half-cooked carrots or peppers or similar, knife jams them and instead of cubes, you end up with pure. I returned it back to store and now I use press cutter, that is manual but give me a perfect-shaped cubes. Hope it helps.Date published: 2016-06-23Rated 1 out of 5 by chefdd from serious design/function flaws I purchased this for the dicer function, as I already have a Magimix food processor (which I loooove). Sadly, this is the single worst kitchen tool I have ever purchased. It jammed so continuously dicing kabocha squash (peeled) that I was afraid it would break the Kitchenaid mixer itself. Every time it jammed it would make a horrendous loud clicking sound of the motor spinning in place. Then, to unjam it, I used the grid clearing pushing tool that comes with the set, but it's designed to push only from the sharp side of the blades (!), so plastic shards shaved off the pusher and fell into the food. Then I removed the unit and black oil oozed out all over. Lovely. It was only the second time I had used it. The only thing it worked on was bell peppers. It turned tomatoes to mush. I've purchased a Kenwood dicer instead (for the Kenwood Chef) as it gets much better reviews online (it's well known in the UK and Europe), so I hope to have better luck with that.Date published: 2016-04-09Rated 5 out of 5 by theM from For those who love to cook. This is my second Kitchen Aid attachment. This attachment is well made, easy to use and works well. Thus far I have used this attachment for salad / slaw preparation.Date published: 2015-06-14
