I don't have anything in my house that is blue, but I have everything vintage and antique. This works perfectly. It is quiet and easy to use. I haven't had much of a chance to use it for a great variety of recipes, but am looking forward to adding accessories to make it my go to appliance. I’ve been wanting a KitchenAid mixer for decades, and seeing this is what made me pull the trigger. It’s such a special piece, I’m so proud to display it in my kitchen, and to celebrate along with this American company their iconic appliance. The hobnail bowl really catches the eye and seems to capture the nostalgia while remaining timeless. So far I’ve made bread several times, cookies, and meatloaf. Mixing and then the clean-up couldn’t be breezier. I did also purchase their quilted stainless steel bowl because I wasn’t sure about the practicality of the ceramic bowl, but to my surprise the ceramic bowl is not too heavy or cumbersome and is easy to clean. Nevertheless, I’ll likely use the stainless as my workhorse bowl, and the hobnail bowl for display or whenever I need an extra bowl. I’ll include a picture showing all the included attachments and the quilted bowl I purchased as well. The only downside of this beautiful piece is it makes me want to update my kitchen, like, right now! haha. Just a quick note: I can tilt the appliance all the way back with plenty of clearance of my upper cabinets, but the base needs about 2” clearance from the wall for the tilt-head to not hit the back of the wall. For this reason placing it in the corner space was the least obtrusive for my counter space and I’m happy I don’t have to move it at all to use it, because it is heavy! It arrived very quickly, well packaged, and in pristine condition. Love the hobnail bowl! I ordered this mixer which is so beautiful but when i got it it was chipped off by the lock and the entire white band was loose. I took it back to the store and they ordered a replacement. The replacement came with the paint nicked off the very front and black smudges all over the top! I will NEVER order through or shop at Williams Sonoma again!Date published: 2019-07-31Rated 4 out of 5 by Kathleen1971 from Beautiful Received this as a birthday gift. Have not used it yet, but looking forward to trying it out. I did order the metal bowl as I am so afraid of chipping the Ceramic bowl. I thought the 100th Anniversary mixer was baby blue?Hi Sylvie, This is the 100th anniversary mixer. In certain photos, the mixer looks baby blue due to the lighting but it is more of a delicate dusty gray blue.Date published: 2019-05-07

I can't tell what the true color of the mixer is. Some photos show a very delicate dusty gray blue. Others display a stronger blue almost a baby blue. Which one is it?Hi SirEdwardPopinjay, The color is more of a delicate dusty gray blue.Date published: 2019-02-11
Does the beater make a mark inside the ceramic bowl? I’ve had that happen with my hand mixer in ceramic bowls. Thanks HI Sewcat, The mixer includes a “flex edge beater” so only the silicone “wiper” will make contact with the bowl. The other tools (dough hook & whisk) are calibrated to come very close but not make contact with the bowl. We have not tried using any other tools in the mixing bowl but would expect the ceramic material to wear similarly to other ceramic mixing bowls.Date published: 2019-02-11
Can you use other 5qt bowls with this, or just hobnob bowl? Thanks!Hi MamaWoon, Any 5qt. bowl designed for a 5qt. tilt-head KitchenAid Stand Mixer will work with this mixer.Date published: 2019-02-08
