Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointed from Do Not Buy I purchased the iSi Gourmet Whip after a less expensive unit, which I loved and worked for many many years, quit working. I purchased the iSi Gourmet Whip figuring that due to its price and given it was SS I would have it for a long time. Unfortunately not long after I purchased the whipper it started to spit cream and leak gas. I put the whipper away figuring that I could clean it or purchase replacement parts and get it working. Nope. I will have to purchase another unit - either a throw away unit or one where the head valve can be replaced. so disappointed.Date published: 2017-09-01Rated 1 out of 5 by KKSantaBarbara from Really disappointing I bought this unit and extra charger cartridges in December. I used it once and it seemed to work fine. This evening I planned to use it for my husband's birthday celebration to great disappointment. I watched the video a couple of times to refresh my memory about how and then tried to use it. It didn't work. The charger didn't seem to load properly into the canister. I tired dispensing it and it came out just liquid. I tried and used two more cartridges. It never fully worked. I had to get out my old-fashioned mixer to whip the cream. What a huge waste!Date published: 2017-07-18Rated 5 out of 5 by GrannieJ from The best way to whip cream This is the best find since sliced bread. So easy to use, easy to clean, and a must for holiday dining when you want to spend time with family, not in the kitchen preparing more stuff.Date published: 2017-01-03Rated 5 out of 5 by csinensis from iSi Gourmet Whip Mine works fine - no leaking at all. It is easy and fun. The great thing is that I know what goes in - no corn syrup, no artificial flavors, etc. I've used different sweetener (brown sugar, agave, honey, maple syrup, etc), and different extract (vanilla, almond, coconut). The only negative is the price for the canister and N2O chargers.Date published: 2016-02-13Rated 1 out of 5 by gratefulcook from there is a problem with this product I had an iSi whipped creamer for about 15 years and it was always used, so I am very proficient with these whipped creamers. Literally, I used it at least 1000 times. It was still working but the white paint had all chipped off, so my kids got me this new one which was perfect. Except not. There is something wrong with it where the cream keeps oozing out the top and you can hear the gas ever so slightly leaking out. It leaks the cream, too. I have troubleshooted it every way I know how. Also have spent way too much time on trying to get it replaced or repaired. I recommend you buy one from someone else, not this model that WS sells. A good one of these is so great to have!Date published: 2014-11-20Rated 5 out of 5 by Patrona from Troubleshooting your iSi Gourmet Whip Fill the cold canister (I keep mine in the freezer at all times) the cold cream (fill no more than 2/3 full) & about a tablespoon of the flavored syrup. Check to see the O ring if firmly seated. Screw the top on. Load the CO2 canister into black screw on applicator. Slowly screw it onto the iSi gourmet whip. Remove. Shake 4 or 5 times. Test by squirting some cream on your finger. If it's still a little runny shake a couple more times. Continue testing until desired thickness. Resist the urge to keep shaking it like crazy! Two light shakes. Test. Discourage your guest who want to play with it from shaking it!! It will get too thick! there is a fine line between too thin & too thick!! Use the leftovers in your coffee the next morning! It safely keeps about 3-4 days. Hope this helps. I like to pass it around the table & let my guests assemble their own lime curd mini tarts! Fun & laughter is sure to follow. ;)Date published: 2014-03-31Rated 2 out of 5 by EmmLou from Not sure what to think of it I was so excited when I bought this tool after Christmas since I use whipped cream quite a bit. I have owned the whipper for one week, and have tried it twice and I must be doing something wrong. The whip cream is coming out like water and the canister keeps dispersing whip cream out of the tip constantly. Making a mess on the counter and in the fridge. I'm thinking I might have to return it and go back to the conventional way of making whipped cream.Date published: 2014-01-16Rated 2 out of 5 by Melzie from I want to like it If someone can help me figure out what I am doing wrong I would love this product. I bought it after Thanksgiving and was so excited to use it for my hot chocolate but once I had it all ready and I added the whipped cream to my cup, I can hear CO2 coming out and whipped cream was pouring out of the spout. I tried it a few times and wasted so many CO2 cartridges. I thought it was defective so I exchanged for another and same thing. Has anyone had this issue and solved it? Please help!Date published: 2013-12-17
