Instant Pot Tuscan Lentil Soup Starter

Enjoy hearty Tuscan lentil soup with this starter developed by our Test Kitchen chefs for the Instant Pot. The earthy flavor of lentils is enhanced by savory kale, bell pepper, onion and carrot. Simply mix with tomatoes and chicken stock, then pressure cook for 18 minutes.

Tuscan Lentil Soup Starter Recipe
1 jar soup starter
1 can (14.5 oz/455 g) diced tomatoes
4 cups (1 L) water or low-sodium chicken broth
Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
Combine the starter, tomatoes and 3 cups (750 ml) of the water in an Instant Pot. Lock the lid in place, seal and set to cook at high pressure for 18 minutes. When pressure cooking is complete, let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes, then quick release the remaining steam. Carefully remove the lid, then stir the remaining 1 cup (250 ml) water. Ladle into bowls and sprinkle with Parmesan.
