This plate is sourced from natural salt deposits found in the Himalayas. The dense crystalline composition adds complex flavor to all types of foods. Heat on the grill to sear seafood and meat, or chill for serving a selection of fruits, vegetables and cheeses with a hint of salt.

- Salt plate must be completely dry prior to using on the grill.
- With time and use, the plate’s shape will get smaller and the color will change.
- Scrub with a mildly abrasive brush then wipe with a damp cloth.
- Dry on a rack for at least 24 hours before using again.
- Do not immerse in water or leave under running water.

Next Day Delivery
For an additional charge of $26 per address, we can expedite delivery to most destinations. This service is not available for some oversize items, items shipped directly from the supplier (including perishable and custom-manufactured items), out-of-stock items and items to be shipped outside the contiguous 48 states.
Orders received by 9:00 p.m. ET Monday through Thursday will arrive the next business day; orders placed Friday through Sunday will arrive on the following Tuesday.

Returns with a gift receipt will be refunded in the form of a Merchandise Credit for the amount indicated on the gift receipt. Returns with original receipt will be refunded in the original form of payment, cash and check refunds over $100 will be issued as a company check (may take 14 business days from time of request).

I heat it up slowly before using per the instructions. I've made phenomenal chocolate chip cookies and shrimp using the plate in my oven. Tomorrow I plan to use my second plate on my charcoal grill. After reading the reviews of some plates cracking when used on the grill, I plan to heat mine up slowly in my oven first. My favorites are fish and thick pork chops. I preheat the oven with it in it. I use it and store it in the oven. I once burnt it. It cracked and broke in half. I still used it. When the salt plate dissolves beyond use, I blend it into salt powder, then cook with it. The fish smell does dissipate, with no residual flavor. The reason its not rated with 5 stars is because it did break, it dissolves in the center, and cleaning it has a learning curve. Worth it .Makes a great gift. It takes a few times to get it right. You can't use to cook spur of the moment because it takes an hour or more to pre-heat it. It sauted the best scallops I have ever tasted. The seafood turned out well and had fantastic flavor. However, the joy of the meal was surpassed by the 2 hour chore of attempting to get the salt plate clean. The marinade and (and now fishy smell) seeped into a small fissure in the plate and the surface.
