Lobster risotto is the definition of luxury. Based on a recipe beloved by generations of a Maine family, this version arrives in an oven-safe dish, requiring no work from you other than popping it in a hot oven for 30 minutes. Generous meaty chunks of fresh Maine lobster are the star here. The lobster is combined with creamy Arborio rice, a touch of Swiss cheese and fresh crimini mushrooms for rich depth of flavor. A topping of panko bread crumbs mixed with lemon herb butter adds the finishing touch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bingbail from Tasty side dish or easy weeknight entree I bought this twice so obviously I liked it. I gave it a 5 stars because it is tasty but like other reviewers mentioned, it is slightly on the salty side and there is not very much lobster but the overall taste is excellent. I transferred mine into a porcelain dish while cooking because I do not care to cook in the plastic container.Date published: 2017-11-30Rated 5 out of 5 by Jonathan from An excellent dish. My wife normally doesn't care for lobster but she loved this. A great balance of ingredients with an obvious lobster texture and taste. A truly exceptional dish.Date published: 2017-10-14Rated 3 out of 5 by Margolis from Too Fishy Tasting This was just OK. The texture was good. Mostly rice, very few mushrooms. I saw one tiny sliver of one. It was very fishy tasting. It smelled fishy too. Maine lobster is sweet and succulent. It shouldn't taste and smell like day old carp. never again.Date published: 2017-06-23Rated 5 out of 5 by GStewart from Delicious! I have never purchased food online before so I was a little skeptical. The lobster risotto was absolutely fantastic, very creamy and with large pieces of lobster. I will definitely be buying again!Date published: 2016-01-01Rated 5 out of 5 by PhilMia from A MUST BUY! Super silky risotto punctuated by heaping hunks of lobster- how can you go wrong? Buttery, herbed panko topping is the perfect juxtaposition to the velvety decadence lying beneath. Crimini mushrooms add a balance of earthiness to this treat, which is worth every penny.Date published: 2014-12-18Rated 2 out of 5 by Caroline5 from Very little lobster Overall, it had good flavor, but it was very salty and oily, and most disappointingly, had only a few small claw pieces in the entire dish. Since the primary appeal for me was the lobster, I would not recommend it.Date published: 2013-03-05Rated 3 out of 5 by emmo from Very Salty Texture and content lovely. Oodles of lobster but the three star rating is because the dish was overly salted.Date published: 2012-12-09Rated 5 out of 5 by badamshoover from AMAZING SIDE OR ENTREE The lobster risotto is fabulous! It really does have depth, exactly as advertised, and is rich in flavor but surprisingly light and fresh. Even a relative, who is by no means a foodie, said, "OMG this is good!" The rest of us were too busy licking our plates to comment. I used the risotto as a side to our surf-and-turf Thanksgiving feast. As a side, the risotto fed four of us, plus leftovers for 2. I think it's safe to say we've kissed that turkey goodbye!Date published: 2012-11-28
