Every detail of this wok is faithful to its traditional Chinese origins, from its carbon steel construction to its hand-hammered design. Its fast-heating cooking surface is great for stir frying, deep frying, steaming and more. Each wok is hammered by hand—no two are exactly alike.

- Ideal for use on any type of cooktop, including induction.
- Wok will become very hot when cooking. Please use caution.
- Hand-wash with hot water. Stuck on food particles can be removed with a soft sponge or cloth.
- Dry over a hot burner set on high heat allowing the traces of grease from cooking to burn into the surface.
- Oil regularly to maintain seasoning.
- Season the pan before first use: heat wok and apply a thin film of oil over the entire surface using a paper towel or basting brush. Heat for 10 minutes and wipe off the oil with a paper towel. Repeat this process until there is no black residue on the paper towel - about three times.

Though the result was delicious, the wok is just not suitable for my stove. First, it doesn't hold steady on the stove top, and even the slightest stir of a spoon sends it wobbling and moving around. I had to hold it using a thermal glove in one hand, and stirring with the other. For me it was extremely uncomfortable. Second, mine had a small indentation in the middle of the wok making the flat surface not 100% flat. I assume this was just a bad item and not a general flaw. WS customer service gets 5 start from me - as always - and refunded the item in less than a minute. It is perfect! My husband loves it and if I suggest we should cook it in the wok, suddenly he is cooking! We have an electric stove and to be honest, we haven't used it on the electric stove yet. I bought a nice two burner portable propane stove years ago for camping that we also use as a second stove outside.
