- More about Emile Henry
Emile Henry has been crafting artful kitchen ceramics since 1850, when the French company was founded in a small town in Burgundy. Today, it’s still proudly owned and operated by members of the Henry family. The mineral-rich soils of Burgundy are known for creating wines with unique terroir, but they also yield the special local clays used to craft each piece of Emile Henry cookware and bakeware. The high-fired clay withstands extremely high temperatures while distributing and retaining heat gently and evenly. Artisans hand apply the glazes to create vivid color that looks beautiful in the kitchen and at the table.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Rayray from place the sticker price somewhere else!!!! Seriously, put the sticker price somewhere other then the porus bottom of the item. geez! Cant get it off!!Date published: 2019-10-24Rated 1 out of 5 by karen from ruined by label that covers 90% of pizza surface I have tried ordering this product 3 times. All 3 times I had to return the product because the sticker that covers 90% of the pizza stone surface DOES NOT COME OFF. Even if you manage to peal off the sticker, it leaves a horrible residue. I assume googone would get it off, but who wants to eat off a surface you just treated with toxic chemicals. You'd really think for the price they would package the product correctly so the end user could actually use it. It would be a great product, if it was usable.Date published: 2019-05-21Rated 3 out of 5 by Mary from Shipped broken My pizza stone just arrived yesterday and I could hear the broken piece sliding around inside while I was opening it. I believe it was packed that way because the outside shipping box was undamaged while the box inside containing the stone appeared to be slightly smashed. I purchased this for use in my Breville oven and I've decided to keep it since only one handle has broken off. It fits in the oven a little better without it.Date published: 2018-07-20Rated 2 out of 5 by JanTheBaker from Wonderful Product Ruined by Stupid Packaging? I just bought this beautiful work of art. I can't believe someone decided it was OK to paste labels directly on the product. I tried soaking them off, to no avail. Then, I tried peeling the labels off with my fingernails, but I left an adhesive residue behind. Next, I tried to get the adhesive off with nail polish remover. It worked on the price tag which was on the bottom of the pizza stone, but didn't work at all on the top side with the hand-applied glaze. I hated to do this, but I finally had to resort to "Goo Gone". It removed the adhesive, but did it hurt the glaze? Did it leave a layer of toxic chemicals on my pizza stone? My comment is "Please, Please do not put ANYTHING, especially adhesive, on this item. It is too good to be ruined by you!"Date published: 2018-03-27Rated 5 out of 5 by TheIcePrincess from Consistently Emile You can never go wrong with the Emile Henry brand. Cooks really well, versatile (oven, grill, etc...), and easy to clean. A win all the way around.Date published: 2015-05-22Rated 5 out of 5 by tracyastrode from Makes the Perfect Pizza and so easy to clean. This is the perfect size for individual pizzas. We've been using these on our smoker grill with amazing results. We heat the grill with the stones on it to 500 then drop it to 450 right when we put the pizza's on the stone. The crust cooks evenly and is the perfect crispness. You can hold your slice of pizza and it doesn't sag down. Highly recommend and love these stones!! The best part, you can throw them into the dishwasher!Date published: 2015-03-17Rated 5 out of 5 by NellyPotBelly from Excellent Product This is just the right size for 1-3 people and I find the product to be of high-quality and it is heavy as proof. Not that heavy but for its size a good heft. Makes excellent pizza and probably even better if I would preheat it first but don't do it as it too much troublesome in my small kitchen and oven. Probably why the crust is not that crispy, but I'm sure can be made that way on this one and at higher temps. I don't go the full 500 degrees.Date published: 2014-11-24Rated 5 out of 5 by ambeeman from Great product! These pizza stones are great for 2 mini pizzas! My husband and I like different toppings on our pizza so these are great. They are so easy to clean and I would definitely recommend to others!Date published: 2013-11-02
I just received my mini pizza stone. I have never had one before and I am disappointed that there are no instructions in the box or on your website on how to use it. Does it need to be preheated? There are no guidelines.Hi liltxtwister - You can use this pizza stone in a Barbeque (gas or charcoal); Oven; Microwave or Dishwasher. For best results, preheat your pizza stone before placing your pizza on the hot stone. Enjoy!Date published: 2018-10-25
