Rated 4 out of 5 by dperez from Beautiful Dinnerware The plates on this set are just magic. Elegant and very French feeling. My only complaint is with the mugs. They are quite heavy for such a delicate and elegant set. They should have gone with traditional cups and saucers.Date published: 2018-11-09Rated 5 out of 5 by Jens_clementines from Best purchase! I have had these dishes two years and absolutely adore them. They have stood up well to daily use. No staining, chipping, cracking, or scratching. They are beautiful dishes that transition well between daily use and formal dinners. I would purchase them again and highly recommend them. Another reviewer mentioned the cereal bowls chipping. The cereal bowls are not included in this set. You have to purchase them separately. I agree that those bowls chip. Do not purchase them—I believe they are defective. I can say with great confidence though that you should purchase the dinner/salad/bread plates and shallow bowls.Date published: 2018-07-12Rated 3 out of 5 by Lilrenee from Love this set but... I absolutely love this set but since I received them as a wedding gift each cereal bowl is beginning to chip. The rest of the set remains in perfect condition but bowls starting chipping immediately.Date published: 2017-06-10Rated 5 out of 5 by LaurenSoules from Unique, yet classic I got this set as a wedding gift and I absolutely love them! My husband and I wanted plain white dishes, but we wanted there to be something unique about them, and this certainly fits the bill. Each plate has a slightly different pattern, but they all blend together perfectly.Date published: 2016-10-24Rated 5 out of 5 by jccwc from Like a beautifully frosted wedding cake That's what I thought of when I first saw these dishes, an elegant wedding cake. I bought the plates & bowls w/o the cups. They are durable, elegant and sturdy. I've put the soup plates under the broiler for French onion soup, and they always go into the dishwasher after dinner (the Queen Anne bowls I also bought chipped easily). They are so versatile for whatever dinner or party for which you're cooking. I don't recommend the Queen Anne bowls.Date published: 2016-09-01Rated 5 out of 5 by merry11023 from Love these! We registered for these and were lucky enough to get two sets. They are gorgeous. Have an expensive, old fashioned look to them but are modern in that they are not matchy-matchy. I don't think I could look at a million plates, smaller plates, bowls and tea cups with the exact same pattern and not get sick of them. These are stunning!Date published: 2016-01-22Rated 5 out of 5 by Ekrieg from Really love these dishes I had some heavy stoneware dishes which I was sick of having to lift. I'd looked for contemporary porcelain dishes for a couple of years but was disappointed by either the quality or the price. Then I happened to see these at WS one day and fell in love. I bought them individually in the store because I didn't want the cups. I was able to buy them in the mixed colors and I'm so glad I did. I found some dark gray placemats which, combined with the colors of these dishes, makes for a lovely table. Oh, and I no longer need a forklift to get my dishes into the cupboard! I'm a very happy camper!Date published: 2015-09-24Rated 5 out of 5 by dianejoy from Love these! My dishes arrived on Christmas Eve, very well packed. Dishes are just as pictured and great quality. Although I've had them less than a month, they seem to wash and wear very well. I love the eclectic mix-and-match style. Lots of other WS pieces that work well with this set. They aren't too thick and heavy so they stack and store well without taking up tons of shelf space.Date published: 2015-01-17
Do these dishes get hot in the microwave?Hi Angie, The primary use of a microwave oven is to heat water molecules. Porcelain is fired at very high temperatures - many times the boiling point of water. That means there will not be any water internal to the porcelain. Therefore, your porcelain plate should not be hot after being microwaved.Date published: 2019-04-17
