- More about Demeyere
Founded at the turn of the 20th century near Antwerp, Belgium, Demeyere has always specialized in stainless-steel cookware. In the 1960s, Demeyere pioneered the use of aluminum cores to improve the heat conductivity of stainless steel, and it was the first cookware brand in the world to tailor construction to suit the most common cooking functions for each type of pan. Collaborations with European chefs have helped refine the design details of Demeyere cookware, including the Silvinox® finish, which prevents discoloration and maintains the beauty of the stainless steel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kiris1 from Better than Le Creuset I have used enameled coated cast iron dutch ovens, and they work amazing. However, they are extremely heavy. This pot in 9qt size has perfect dimensions for a family of 4+. It heats up quickly, keeps its heat very well, and the heat is very even. The best part about this pot is that it works just as good in terms of cooking as cast iron dutch ovens, but is much lighter. My only complaints are the handles of the pot, and cover become hot to touch. The problem could have been fixed, but I’m sure it would have taken away from the aesthetics —larger handles on the pot, and an insulated cover/larger handle for the cover. The pot is built like a tank, and I am sure will last my lifetime, and some...Date published: 2019-08-08Rated 4 out of 5 by INENY from Great Cooking Pot I am very happy with my Atlantis collection. I own several of them and they truly are incredible. They make cooking fast, they clean well, and they are very hygienic due to their rivet-less design (reason why I purchased them). The one thing I don't like is the weight, hard to carry and wash them... oh well, I already knew about this and it's expected for these well made pots. Give it a chance, they perform great!Date published: 2019-01-16Rated 5 out of 5 by Cook Numero Uno from Very handy Well balanced, easy to handle. Substantial weight. Two handles helps a lot. Should last a long time. Hoping to pass this down to family.Date published: 2018-01-31Rated 5 out of 5 by docwas from Demeyere Atlantis sauce pot rocks My wife doesn't like the pans with a long handle because they are difficult for her to hold. She much prefers the double loop pans. This is a beautifully constructed pot and works great on our new induction cooktop. We now have two sizes, and plan to get more.Date published: 2016-01-12Rated 5 out of 5 by Asaf from Truly a superior product! This fabulous pot has a handsome, professional appearance and a good heft to it. Its thick 7-ply copper-core base extends all the way out to the pot's side and heats extremely uniformly on my induction cooktop, and enables one to cook at lower heat settings than with lessor pots. Its stainless steel sides are heated by the food rather than the base, so they remain relatively cool, making the pot easy to handle without scorching of the hands. This is the best sauce pot / dutch oven out there!Date published: 2013-02-15
