Rated 3 out of 5 by Kathy from how do I make 50 ounces with this machine? I just bought this machine and though the box states it can make 50 ounces of yogurt, the recipes included only make 32 ounces. Does anyone know how to make 50 ounces of yogurt with this machine?Date published: 2017-06-12Rated 5 out of 5 by MimisToys from Easier than buying yogurt in the store Every week for over two years, I've been making yogurt in this machine. It's easy and delicious! I just mix 4 oz. (weight) of my last batch with milk, cover with the outer, not inner, cover and let the machine go for 13 hours. No need to preheat the milk. I usually dry the condensation from the lid, once or twice during cooking. There will be a lot! If I forget to turn the machine off, it starts to cool automatically. Need a starter to get started? I just use a small cup of plain organic yogurt from the store vs. the packets.Date published: 2017-01-09Rated 5 out of 5 by Treeshark from Everything you want in a yogurt maker I have made several batches thus far, each one was perfect! I was hesitant at first to shell out the money for this when I had been using mason jars and a crock pot with varying results. This machine has yielded perfect yogurt every time. Simple to use, with easy clean-up.Date published: 2016-03-31Rated 5 out of 5 by Nraveled from Came with my needs in mind. I am pleasantly surprised when I use the yogurt maker. I do not need to be there when it is finished; the refrigeration element after completion of the yogurt making is great.. It can sit on the counter until I am ready for it. The 4 cup container is the perfect size for my weekly needs. Great product, clean looking and makes great yogurt every time. Consistency is great.Date published: 2015-11-03Rated 5 out of 5 by Regoa from Perfect Yogurt This is by far the best yogurt maker. I bought it to make vegan yogurt. My favorite so far is coconut milk yogurt. All I do is add a little agar or tapioca powder to thicken the yogurt. It turns out great. I have also used whole milk, super easy, no thickeners for that. Love the fact that I don't have to babysit it, the auto cool features the best!Date published: 2015-09-11Rated 5 out of 5 by Pickypurchaser from A winner. No reservations. Great design and clear instructions and recipes. Makes one and a half quarts of yogurt in one container instead of several small ones. Great feature is that it does not need to be attended. Turns off heater automatically and starts cooling. Recommend following instructions to let it cool for 12 hours. I've had excellent results by using powdered milk and commercial whole milk yogurt as a starter.Date published: 2015-08-25Rated 5 out of 5 by Celosialily from Wish I bought this earlier I purchased Dash yogurt maker at first because I didn't want to shell out the money on this one. But each batch I made with the Dash didn't turn out like I wanted. I have made two batches so far and the batches came out nice and thick. I followed the directions in the manual - used whole milk, heated to 180 degrees and added 6 oz. of plain yogurt at 110 degree... It turned out perfect. Lesson learn... "Just go ahead and spend the money on what you want the first time."Date published: 2015-06-25Rated 4 out of 5 by jccwc from Could be perfect I used some Fage yoghurt, some powdered milk, and some dried starter as well as whole milk, didn't preheat it, then set the timer for the max time and mine came out perfectly. Just wish the container for making the yoghurt was glass instead of plastic. It makes a nice amount without having small individual containers, it's quiet and is easy to clean and store the unit.Date published: 2015-05-13
