- Use & Care
- The permanent filter, filter basket, carafe and lid can be washed in warm, soapy water and rinsed thoroughly or cleaned in the upper rack of the dishwasher. Dry all parts after every use.
- For best performance from your coffeemaker, decalcify the base unit from time to time. The frequency will depend upon the hardness of your tap water and frequency of use. The CLEAN indicator will flash in the display when the coffeemaker is turned on, signaling that it is time to decalcify the unit.

Orders received by 9:00 p.m. ET Monday through Thursday will arrive the next business day; orders placed Friday through Sunday will arrive on the following Tuesday.

Rated 1 out of 5 by drdapg from Don't buy it. I purchased this Cuisinart Burr Grind & Brew coffee maker in December from WS. (We loved the previous Cuisinart Grind and Brew that we had for years.) With this new model, I had the same issue as other comments with weak coffee to basically water with a tinge of coffee. I sent it back thinking the machine was defective and exchanged it for a new one. Same problem. I did not send the second coffee maker back, just too much of a hassle. So we still use the Burr Grind & Brew but set the grinder for 12 strong cups but only put in 10 cups of water. In addition, if I set the timer, the grinder will run but not grind all the beans....like its stuck. So now I grind the beans the night before I set the timer. I also use a knife to swish the beans around in the grinder to be sure that enough of the beans are being ground for the 10 cups of water. It is such a pain. Disappointed in quality of brew; patiently awaited improvement/breaking in. None. The coffee is so weak! I fill water to 7c and grind for 10c. Still thumbs down. The cleaning improvement over my last Cuisinarts "burr grind and brew" is vastly better, BUT today (4/2019) the grinder stopped working. We decided to replace ours with the newer model (this one) and it’s AWFUL!!! It worked fine for 1 month then all of a sudden the coffee was very weak. We’ve tried everything to troubleshoot including just using grounds, but it still doesn’t work well. We have to set the grind to 8 cups to make 5-6 cups or else the coffee comes out extremely light and basically water. I do not recommend this version of the machine!!! It is much larger and more cumbersome then the old one, and took way too long to figure out how to set it up to work. Finally set it up and made poor tasting coffee using pre ground coffee. Unfortunately the grinder did not work so could not sample any freshly ground coffee. This was a very time consuming operation resulting in a machine that did not work and had to be returned. It is way too heavy to carry & paid car service buying and returning. Very impressed by the contemporary styling and the quiet efficiency of the machine, even just running water through for that 'before you make your first pot of coffee' routine. Even grinding the coffee isn't that loud. Love that it's a 12-cup carafe, rather than a 10-cup, since my husband and I really enjoy our morning coffee. This is a replacement for an older coffeemaker of the same brand that finally died.
