Rated 2 out of 5 by Donna from Nothing Special I purchased this food processor almost a year ago. Wanted it mostly for making pie dough but I do use it for other things. It's fine for shredding, chopping, grating, etc but for making dough it's terrible. Flour gets all over the counter, coming out of the little crevices between the lid and bowl and it does not work well for the task. My old Hamilton Beach which cost $30 worked much better. The middle spindle which rotates the chopper is wobbly. Don't know if that is normal. I would not recommend this product.Date published: 2017-11-23Rated 1 out of 5 by Kdlhansen from A piece of light weight plastic junk! I bought this just a month ago. IT is junk. I used it three times, now it does not work. I am returning it. MY old processor is a workhorse, I thought it would be nice to have a newer one. WRONG!Date published: 2017-11-13Rated 1 out of 5 by Kims Cooking Now from Poor quality I bought this to replace my Cuisinart DLC-5 series processor that I've had for over 20 years. That thing is a work horse, and still works, but my husband cracked the lid latch, and now you have to hold the lid down in order for it to work. I checked into replacing just the bowl and lid, but that was going to cost almost as much as much as this one is, brand new, on sale. Well, I just received this one today, took it out of the box and could tell right away that Cuisinart sure isn't making things like they used to. The piece that holds the blade is made of plastic, and the processor itself is very light weight and plastic (not like my old one, which is pretty heavy). I decided to give it a try, so I made a batch of scones, pulsing the dry ingredients in the processor like I always do when I make scones, and just like the other reviewers mentioned - flour flies out of the top of the bowl and gets everywhere. I knew right away that this thing is getting returned to Williams-Sonoma! I do a lot of cooking and baking (I'm a brand ambassador for Allrecipes.com), and this processor will not cut it in my busy kitchen.Date published: 2017-10-27Rated 1 out of 5 by lizziep75 from Boy have things changed This was a gift to replace my old unit that was still waiting for it's replacement blade after 7 months. This unit should not be sold to anyone. It shoots flour (or whatever dry ingredient) out between the top of the bowl and the bottom of the lid. No satisfaction from the MFG. They just don't care. Going to get my old one back!!Date published: 2017-08-14Rated 2 out of 5 by cook from Junk This was given to us as a gift. Every time I need to blend dry ingredients, flour goes flying out the top through the connections. It's a mess and all the parts are made of very cheap plastic.Date published: 2017-02-17Rated 5 out of 5 by AnOkCook from Very useful I purchased two of these for Christmas presents. Both of the recipients love them and have started to appreciate their utility.Date published: 2017-01-06Rated 5 out of 5 by Psychotherapist from "Cuisinart Elemental 8-cup Food Processor" "WOW!!! We absolutely LOVE this food processor. This is our very first food processor (having grown up in the restaurant business) and we LOVE it!!! We've already made several desserts, salad stuff and pasta with this wonderful Cuisinart. So convenient, easy to use and easy to clean. We're looking forward to making lots of tasty and wonderful dishes. Thanks Williams-Sonoma and Cuisinart!!! Enjoy!!! Take good care..."Date published: 2016-09-06Rated 2 out of 5 by Ediepro from Too small capacity Had to return it. Though described as an 8 cup processor, in reality the container is 8 cups but only can process up to 4 cups liquid. Needed for processing tomatoes from garden for freezing. I already have a mini processor and you can only process max of 4 cups when liquid. Also want for meal preparations for company and simply too small. It is misleading to describe it as an 8 cup processor or not allow the measurement markings to be visible in the picture.Date published: 2016-08-06
