Rated 4 out of 5 by CSWE from A bit of a learning curve There is a bit of a learning curve to this food processor. The food chute has to be inserted a certain way or the motor will not turn on. I had to watch a video on YouTube to understand what the problem was. Apparently others have had an issue with this also. My old Kitchenaid was far easier to operate. I’m hoping I’ll enjoy this unit more once I get the hang of it.Date published: 2019-07-16Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Large capacity is worth it! I love the capacity! I can double a recipe easily and not have to do it in batches.Date published: 2019-07-15Rated 5 out of 5 by Dean in Jacksonville from Most-used appliance in my kitchen I owned an 11-cup Cuisinart food processor for many years, and even when the ‘skin’ of the buttons wore away it continued to work like a champ - until a lightning strike killed it. Before I purchased a replacement, I checked America’s Test Kitchen for their latest reviews on food processors, and was really pleased that their top choice was the model I wanted to purchase - the 14-cup Cuisinart. We’ve had it a bit over two months now, and couldn’t be more pleased. It’s heavy, and solidly built. Simple to operate and use. I was a bit disappointed that it didn’t have the dough blade that came with our late 11-cup model, but I’ve learned since that I can make a great bread dough with just the standard blade. I was really impressed that this model has more than enough power to handle dough. Plenty of accessory blades are available too, though I wish they they were a bit less expensive. Still, I wouldn’t consider anything less than the Cuisinart name for this very integral part of my kitchen. Everything I need to slice or chop, heck, even making butter and bread dough, goes into this machine and comes out perfect.Date published: 2019-07-13Rated 5 out of 5 by Sicilian baker from Great for bread dough I love making homemade bread but the kneading was killing my shoulders. I was surprised how fast and easy it was to make my bread dough using my cuisinart 14 cup food processor. I also use it for making dog food for my 115lb Rottweiler, chopping all the vegetables.Date published: 2019-07-09Rated 4 out of 5 by SAR ATL from New Cuisinart Though it works well, the processor is cumbersome to open and close.Date published: 2019-07-05Rated 5 out of 5 by Susan R from Longevity This is my second Cuisinart Food processor...my DLC-7 is 27 years old and still working. I purchased a new one to use the old one at our vacation home. I have many attachments and the slicing/shredding disc blades work on my new 14 cup model. I am happy with my new processor as it operates the same and is just as easy to use.Date published: 2019-06-28Rated 5 out of 5 by CarolB from Awesome Food Processor! I wanted to replace my current food processor and this one was reviewed and highly recommended by America’s Test Kitchen. It was a fantastic price, easy to use, clean etc.Date published: 2019-06-26Rated 5 out of 5 by Stivelli from I love my processor!! Easy! Quick! Fast! No kitchen should be without one!Date published: 2019-06-23

Can the 14 cup cuisinart food processor mix dough like the 13 cup elemental food processor?Hi Lms255, The 14-cup Custom Food Processor has a more powerful motor than the 13-cup Elemental so we feel that the Custom Food Processor would mix dough better.Date published: 2019-03-04
