Rated 1 out of 5 by dianeginnyc from Horrible food processor! Do not buy this product. Used it for first time recently to make hummus. It feels like a cheap plastic toy. The motor is super loud and it shimmies all over the counter. Awful. Unfortunately, W-S would not take it back because I bought it earlier this year, so now I have to fight with Cuisinart. I will never buy another Cuisinart kitchen appliance again. Quality has gone WAY downhill.Date published: 2019-11-25Rated 4 out of 5 by DeKe07 from Good Product But Still There Are Problems! This is a wonderful product! I do have trouble when I am trying to slice celery. More often than not, a whole to nearly whole piece will not be successfully sliced. It is very frustrating! I am using the correct blade, also.Date published: 2019-09-25Rated 5 out of 5 by Dexter213 from Food processor I absolutely LOVE my new cuisinart food processor!!Date published: 2019-09-22Rated 5 out of 5 by SunRey from Feeling my Cuisinart Food Processor ! This is my first FP and so far I’m pleased. I’ve used it for shredding, pureeing , whipping cream and for nut butter to name a few and it’s worked like a champ. I also dig having the smaller work bowl for chopping herbs , garlic and even a sala dressing for 4 . In addition the spiralizer 3 disk attachment blades makes zoodles fast and with the large shoot it’s a breeze to feed larger zucchini. My only problem with my champ is that the plastic bowl feels like it could be more sturdy and a stronger handle attached to the bowl so us men don’t feel like it can break or crack . As for the grater my only wish is that it could grate cheese finer than it does especially for Parmesan cheese. I would recommend this device to anyone who loves to cook because now that I own mine it makes all the prep work a thing of the past and I can cook my awesome meals in a breeze . I love my Cuisinart food processor. It looks great and comes with many accessories. It is fairly simple to use after reading through the manual and getting used to all the different parts and features. However, after only a handful of uses, I'm very disappointed with the quality of the parts. Since the small and medium pushers cannot be locked into the large pusher, they easily fall out when the work bowl cover is removed and turned upside down (something that I tend to automatically do in order to avoid spilling the food stuck on the inside of the cover when it's removed). The first time this happened, the medium pusher fell and landed on top of the accessory storage case, breaking it and creating a surprisingly large hole and crack (see picture). The second time, the medium pusher fell onto my counter and got a chip in it (see picture). I expected more from Cuisinart (and WS as the seller), but after seeing how easily the parts got damaged, I'm inclined to think the quality of their products has declined. Others cons: 1) This cannot replace a spiralizer if you want to spriralize larger items (e.g., onions, potatoes) since the food item needs to be able to fit in the feed tube which is pretty narrow. You will have to make sure to buy relatively skinny food items because the thicker ones will not fit. 2) Food pieces tend to get thinly sliced and stuck up by the blades (rather than going through the blades and into the working bowl) resulting in a good bit of wasted food. 3) The 2 storage cases do not hold all of the tools that come with the food processor (you have to store two spiral discs separately which takes up even more more). Overall, I like the idea of a multi-functional appliance, but the quality of the parts and functionality of the product are lacking (both of which I did not expect from Cuisinart and Williams-Sonoma).Date published: 2019-09-10Rated 1 out of 5 by M3Mom from Broke after 8 months It’s pretty, and the spiralizer attachment was nice while it worked - but it is not as solid as older models. I didn’t even use it very much and it broke after 8 months. It won’t chop anything now.Date published: 2019-08-31Rated 4 out of 5 by Graceknight from Love it Love this machine. Def helps make prep work easier. I hope that they start making varying sizes for the dicer soonDate published: 2019-08-29Rated 4 out of 5 by creativelove from The hardest part was learning how to put it togeth I have just received this and only used it a few times, but I like it and it seems to work well. The hardest part was learning how to put it together. If you don't get the small mixing bowl in just right, you cannot close/lock the processor. I would have benefited in more detailed instructions on how to assemble the different bowls, slicers & dicers. Instead, I had to get a little frustrated by trial and error. That said, I am looking forward to trying more things with my Cuisinart 13 cup food processor.Date published: 2019-08-20
Can you use this to grind meat? Like chicken breast to ground chicken?Hi Sammy, You can use the all-purpose stainless-steel blade to chop chicken breast to much smaller pieces but it won't look like typical ground chicken as produced by a traditional meat grinder. I use this blade all the time to chop up chicken thighs to make the filling for wonton dumplings.Date published: 2019-11-16
