Rated 2 out of 5 by LoBC from Cheap inner pot, Made in China :( I thought all Cuckoo brands were made in Korea. Not this one. The inner pot is super cheap and flimsy, even worse than the inexpensive 20 year old Panasonic that we're replacing from college. I'm very disappointed with the quality of the inner pot (very thin, cheap finishes) and the fact that the product is made in China and not Korea.Date published: 2019-03-13Rated 5 out of 5 by rmccombsla from Best Rice Cookers! I actually have a different model from a different retailer - I’m lucky enough to live in Los Angeles and have access to a fantastic Koreatown and great Korean restaurants and all of them recommended Cuckoo rice cookers. I have a pressure cooker model that allows me to cook rice quickly and even beans and multi-grains without soaking overnight. Cuckoo uses great technology paired with extremely durable bowls, etc. Do yourself a favor, spend a little more, and buy a Cuckoo.Date published: 2019-02-05Rated 5 out of 5 by PhoenixMom from Why didn't we have this before now?! For years I've used plain old cheap rice cookers/steamers thinking they did the job just as well as anything else, but was I wrong! Last year my son gave me a Instant Pot pressure cooker, so I tried the rice function, but it didn't turn out quite right. A Korean friend suggested this brand. I was a bit skeptical because I've never spent this much money on a rice cooker before, but I was pleasantly surprised. It cooks rice perfectly and also steams vegetables well. I was a little confused by the Preset button, but just know that it works like a delay timer. The other cooking modes are quite useful. For now, rice comes out perfect.Date published: 2019-01-28Rated 5 out of 5 by jules from Beautiful design, fast & easy features Although this model is not an IH pressure cooker, I was impressed by its powerful and fast steam cook features. I used it to steam sweet potatoes, eggs, and scorched rice (nurungji). Worked out great. Afterall it's the fresh ingredients that count. Having used both, I'd say IH pressure/electric pressure will not have much difference. Also, I love how it matches my white & silver toned kitchen. It sure is big, but it has a well thought, sophisticated design.Date published: 2019-01-28Rated 5 out of 5 by Austin19 from Awesome product! Been using this for 2 weeks everyday and I love it!!! I recommend this item!Date published: 2019-01-27Rated 5 out of 5 by ac1986 from Very useful I usually cook rice on the stove but a friend of mine told me to give a rice pressure cooker a shot...... The quality of the rice was AMAZING. The rice was cooked evenly all around. With a couple of buttons I was able to cook delicious tasting rice. I am never cooking rice on a stove again :)Date published: 2019-01-27Rated 5 out of 5 by JMarie C from Good Value and Design Saw this unit while browsing a store, matches my white kitchen :) and I love rice but dislike cooking it. Very happy with the purchase, mostly can't believe I spent my whole life without a rice cooker. Perfect rice every time without hassle. Would recommend for anyone who enjoys rice and convenience.Date published: 2019-01-25Rated 5 out of 5 by Kentheskeptic from What a beaut! I bought this about two weeks ago and I was a bit skeptical at first, but I’ve kind of fallen in love! I was looking at the instant pots but the color of this caught my eye. On whim I decided to get it and two weeks later I have no regrets! It took some time to get used to the settings, but I love the scorched rice setting - super unique i haven’t seen this on any other cooker!Date published: 2019-01-24

Does it emit steam? (I need to keep this in an appliance garage and do not want to damage cabinetry).Hi LongshotPrincess, There is a steam outlet but it shouldn't be emitting steam once it's done cooking and you unplug it to store away in your cabinet.Date published: 2019-01-28
