Master pastry chef Jean-Yves Charon crafts our croissants in the traditional French style, using his buttery, award-winning puff pastry, cutting and shaping the pastries by hand. Shipped frozen, they are easy to prepare—just let rise overnight and then bake. The croissants emerge from the oven with flaky, golden-brown exteriors, delicate interiors and an irresistible buttery aroma. There’s no simpler way to bring a taste of France to the breakfast table.

Use & Care

Receiving instructions

  • The croissants ship frozen with dry ice. Please take care not to touch the dry ice with bare hands. Upon receipt, remove croissants from the shipping container and place in the freezer, where they will keep for up to one month.


  • Place the frozen croissants, rounded side up, on a nonstick or parchment-lined baking sheet. Cover loosely with a sheet of parchment paper. Let rise at room temperature (68° to 72°F) for about 9 hours or overnight. Each croissant should measure about 4 1/2" wide and 2 1/2" high. Preheat an oven to 375°F. Remove the top parchment paper. If desired, lightly beat 1 egg with 1 Tbs. cold water and, using a pastry brush, brush the croissants with the egg wash. Bake the croissants until golden brown, 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Enriched flour (wheat flour, niacin, iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid, enzyme, ascorbic acid [dough conditioner]), butter, water, sugar, yeast, salt, dough conditioner (wheat flour, malted barley flour, ascorbic acid [dough conditioner], enzymes).

I have bought many times now and have never been disappointed. They are crunchy on the outside, soft and light on the inside. We use a little butter and homemade jam and nothing beats it. No bakery around me has anything like them!! Thanks again Williams Sonoma!!!

I just finished the last one and it was as good as the first. Much better than any croissants I have ever purchased, even in specialty bakeries. I originally bought these because they were running a special, but will definitely buy again in the future. If making more than one at a time, be aware they do expand a great deal in the oven.

Now I buy 2 boxes at a time so I have them in the house all the time. They are wonderful . Great for egg sandwiches or a ham and cheese sandwich, alone with jam. They are huge in size. Just buy them...... I hope Sonoma never stops selling them.

You will NOT be disappointed. The ONLY down side is you have to plan when you will eat them, since they have to sit out, and then bake.

I have not ordered any other brand of frozen croissant, and I do not plan to do so, since these are so good. They also make a great gift - but only for someone who would appreciate the fine quality that these are.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfection! I bought this as a birthday gift for my husband and it was truly the perfect gift. We love croissants, and have tasted frozen ones before but honestly none compare to these- flaky on the outside, moist and doughy on the inside with a fabulous taste. At first the prep (defrosting overnight, parchment paper) was a bit of a concern. We didn't have parchment paper! Nevertheless, they plumped up fine over night sandwiched between two sheets of wax paper. They triple in size so give them plenty of space between.. We cooked them on a lightly oiled Baking pan and the result was perfection. We made a big pot of French roast and closed our eyes and imagined being in France! Eating them warm is truly heavenly. These are definitely worth the price.
