Rated 5 out of 5 by BlueJeanLady from Yummy I bought this cooking sauce a week ago. I had purchased a couple of jars last year and missed having a sauce on hand for those times that I'm out of dinner ideas or don't want to make this from scratch. Well, this sauce does not disappoint. My family goes nuts over this one. I had some thin sliced chicken and after browning them over the stove in my Le Creuset Dutch oven pot, poured the jar of sauce over chicken and let it simmer for 30 to 40 minutes. Delish. To thicken sauce, just mix 1 Tbsp of flour to 3/4 cup water. I shake in small container. Stir in a small amount at a time until desired consistency. I served it over rice along with steamed broccoli. Yummy braising sauce.Date published: 2017-10-11Rated 5 out of 5 by Sheri from D-lish I bought this product for myself some time ago. It is such a rich, delicious sauce. I will definitely be keeping a jar of this on hand at all times!!!Date published: 2017-06-29Rated 1 out of 5 by junket from Disappointing The ingredients sound great, with red wine and red meat broths being the leaders. This sauce is very thin, however, with none of that savory taste or luscious mouth feel. More importantly, a strong taste like vinegar overpowered everything else and defied my efforts to improve the flavor.Date published: 2017-03-09Rated 2 out of 5 by Homeuser from Not as good as some of the other WS sauces It just did not have the same flavor as the other WS sauces. It tasted a little flat.Date published: 2017-01-19Rated 5 out of 5 by Shayne628 from My favorite!!! Great with De boned Chicken thighs and veggies mixed in ...like squash, eggplant, bell pepper, zucchini! Served over quinoa. Easy Dinner!Date published: 2015-07-03Rated 5 out of 5 by Glasses from With some tweaks is great. Before I ordered this I read the various reviews and incorporated a number of them adding a few of my own. Not much added time at all and with a side of noodles the dish is delicious and the sharp acidic flavor out of the bottle is gone. Added fresh carrots and shallots and mushrooms; added 1/4 cup cream sherry (I plan to use cognac next time) increasing the depth of flavor. Thickened sauce with butter and flower mashed. Delicious result. I had about 2 Ibs chicken and used abiut 2/3 of the bottle only.Date published: 2015-04-03Rated 4 out of 5 by ShelleyJV from Very good with tweaks I bought one each of seven different WS sauces. The first two were so-so. I used this one in my slow cooker with changes based on my experiences with the two other varieties. I increased the amount of chicken by 50% as there was enough sauce to do so. You could even double the meat if you can get it all in the cooker. I added a layer of baby carrots to the cooker first and instead of pearl onions (which made an earlier recipe too sour), I added two regular onions cut into chunks. I used boneless, skinless thighs. And finally, the juice was very runny when the dish was cooked, so after I spooned out the meat and veggies into storage containers, I thickened the runny sauce with 2-3 tablespoons of corn starch. Worked like a charm and the dish was a success!Date published: 2014-11-15Rated 5 out of 5 by Sallyslowcooker from My absolute favorite braising sauce The rich sauce makes an easy company quality meal! My family loves it. I order it every year in time for winter weather. I make it exactly as directed and it turns out wonderful every time. I have given it as a gift several times and it is always a hit!Date published: 2014-10-02
