Take the fat out of the equation to make healthier sauces and gravies in no time flat with our innovative No-Spill Gravy Separators. The integrated strainer means fewer dishes for you because it eliminates the need for a separate sieve or strainer. Pour the meat or poultry juice into the strainer and watch as the juices quickly separate from the fat, which rises to the top. The innovative silicone spout prevents messy drips and dribbles while the silicone stopper helps prevent the fat from moving up into the pouring spout. We’ve designed this gravy separator with a comfortable handle and a spout that’s positioned low so you pour out only juices, leaving the fat behind. Durable and versatile, our gravy separator is destined to become one of your new go-to kitchen gadgets.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Jaaaan from Breaks Easily I’ve used this gravy separator a handful off times since I bought it at the store, and the mesh screen that holds the large food particles separated from the metal frame. I’ve tried to fix it with no luck. I’m hoping this one was just defective and that WS will replace this part. This should’ve lasted for many years so I can’t recommend it.Date published: 2018-09-11Rated 4 out of 5 by Julie from Broke after ten solid years of use! My beloved fat separator broke last night after ten years of loyal service to my kitchen. I am now on the hunt for a new separator. The silicone on the spout is a new feature as mine did not come with one. The only downside I noticed was the screen does not hold a lot of debris. Otherwise this was a faithful companion for many years and I am sad to see it go.Date published: 2018-01-04Rated 1 out of 5 by JMB2 from Gravy Separator Bought this at the end of 2016, Used for first time this Thanksgiving 2017. I liked the design with the silicone protected top and spout , the stainless steel strainer; the clear measurement markings, that is until I used it for first time this Thanksgiving 2017 when I attempted to remove the stopper. It had formed a vacuum alright, I could not remove the stopper until after the bit of silicone that holds it so it to the spout broke! After trying further to remove the stopper with tongs, a chopstick, even a skewer I ended up pouring all of the contents into another vessel and skimmed as much fat as I could the old fashioned way, a spoon. Nice form, poor function. As I see other reviewers had a similar problem I suggest they should have been recalled and replaced with a better spout and stopper design.Date published: 2017-11-24Rated 5 out of 5 by Shiloh from Love it! I wanted to replace my plastic fat separator and purchased this one on sale, because it was glass, and had the strainer. The first time I used it, I put the plug in the spout and it would not come out! I panicked, thinking the cap would be destroyed by my trying to remove it. I was able to dig it out without harm, and the next time, I just didn't place the cap in too deeply. It was easy to get out, and caused no damage. Love how easy it is to remove fat from meat drippings to make flavorful gravies and sauces. The strainer is handy, too, and it all cleans up nicely in the dishwasher. Very happy!Date published: 2017-06-03Rated 5 out of 5 by Lavon from Separator is great! This separator is great. It strains the juices from the meat or poultry, the fat rises to the top and the juices are poured from the bottom. Washes up in the dishwasher. Works perfectly!Date published: 2016-11-06Rated 5 out of 5 by PalmSpringsBaker from No Spill Gravy Separators I have used mine many times and have never had a problem. I would recommend this Gravy Separator to all cooks. I do not understand the negative reviews. Enjoy!Date published: 2015-02-07Rated 4 out of 5 by NicoleElyse from So glad I got this! Yes, this item seems delicate and takes a bit of effort to clean the spout… but it takes so much effort out of sauces! I initially purchased it to use for my Thanksgiving gravy, but I find it to be useful with so many sauces. If I need to thicken a sauce from my dutch oven or slow cooker I can skip the skimming and just pour the juices right in here… then transfer to a saucepan (or Windsor!) without all the fat, and reduce. It has been a big time saver.Date published: 2015-01-25Rated 1 out of 5 by nicknamesaredumb1 from Catamount Gravy Separator I just bought the gravy separator today. The separator works by creating a vacuum when you insert the small plastic cap into the spout. The vacuum separates the fat from the broth. The plastic cap is attached to a small plastic thread that prevents the cap from being separated from the glass cup. I bought the 4 cup separator and I ladled out 4 cups into the separator and then poured the stock into a clean pot. That worked fine. However, the second time I ladled out another 4 cups, the plastic cap would not disengage when I tried to pour the stock into a pot. I pulled on the little tab on the plastic top and I also pulled on the thread which is how the top came out the first time. After much prodding and pulling, the thread broke from the cap. While the thread isn't really necessary, it does prevent you from losing the plastic cap. I am not happy and will return this product to Williams Sonoma on Friday. I would absolutely not recommend the product.Date published: 2014-11-26
