- Ideal for gas and electric cooktops (not induction compatible).
- Safe for use with metal spatulas, spoons and whisks as well as nylon, silicone, coated or wooden utensils.
- Do not use other types of metal utensils, such as forks or knives.
- Oven safe to 500 degrees F.
- Do not use aerosol cooking sprays; buildup over time will cause foods to stick.
- Allow pan to cool before washing.
- Dishwasher safe.
- Avoid using steel wool, steel scouring pads or harsh detergents.
- Stubborn food residue and stains can be removed with a nylon scrubbing pad and a fine-powdered cleanser.

For an additional charge of $17.50 per address, we can expedite delivery to most destinations. Orders received by 9:00 p.m., Eastern time, Monday through Thursday will arrive the next business day; orders placed Friday through Sunday will arrive on the following Tuesday.

People complain about egg leaking out and a small amount sometimes does but usually it is because the simmer is not right. Drain them on a paper towel before putting on your plate. I like that I can make 1 to 4 at a time. I have not had any sticking issues. If you do, use oil on a paper towel to wipe cups. Do not use a spray oil with propellant on this type of surface, as over time buildup will cause items to stick. It has been tried and true with consistent, quality poached eggs. The individual cups are a great concept as I prefer harder yolks and my family vice versa. To prevent the eggs from sticking to the cups, I spray with a non-stick spray prior to use. (Spray the cups over the sink so that you don't get the oil from the spray all over the kitchen). Cleans nicely with warm dish soap (or in the dishwasher). The only complaint I have (hence the 4 stars) is that the coating on the bottom of the pan has cooked off. I have a gas range; this product must not be compatible. The Bad: The egg whites do leave a residue and stick slightly to the bottom of the poaching baskets, which require vigorous hand-washing as they will not get clean in the dishwasher without pre-scrubbing. Egg whites do leak from the holes, but not excessively. The underside of the pan is slippery and can easily slide on the grates of my gas stovetop. I have the four-cup pan. The pan could easily fit five of the poaching cups, so I am puzzled as to why five cups were not included. The pan is very expensive. My instincts told me that using 1 1/2 cups of water was not enough, but I did as the directions said. Of course it didn't work! I checked out You Tube and one of the two demos said to fill to the bottom of the metal rivets holding the handles in...that made sense! I highly recommend wiping the cups with a tiny bit of oil as it make clean up even easier! After filling with pan with water and allowing the eggs to cook about 3-31/2 minutes I achieved perfection! Poached Eggs and toast, poached eggs on hamburgers, steak... On most anything adds flair and is delicious! Now I love my egg poacher and don't heiste to use it regularly! And, the bonus pan is great on its own! I love poached eggs and I've tried more than 1/2 a dozen styles over the years. I've even tried Julia Childs recommendation of dropping a very fresh egg (I got one from the hen of a neighbor) into quarts of boiling water. But, I love the Calphalon egg poacher. I use it 4-6 times a week. I can use an egg basket in a smaller sauce pan with no problem. I use it for Eggs Benedict, and just everyday. I just love it. I still think it's too expensive and I wish I could buy the baskets separately - but I am very glad that I bought it.Date published: 2015-12-21
