Rated 2 out of 5 by JoLo from Lid developed rust from water getting trapped I have had this pot for 3 years. I have always taken great care of the pot and always hand washed it, however, water gets trapped inside the rim of the glass cover causing rust to develop. Water gets trapped between the stainless steel rim and glass. I purchased a replacement lid, and water is still getting trapped inside the rim of the cover on my replacement lid. This seems to be a design flaw with the lid design.Date published: 2018-05-31Rated 1 out of 5 by Wellie from Scrathes easily I purchased this over a year ago and have only used it approximately 6 times as I don't cook big portions very often. I love the size for when my family come to dinner. However I have not used any steel wool on it and the bottom is peeling off. I use Dawn dish wash and no other cleaning product on it. Very disappointed in the purchase. I contacted Sonoma and they asked me to send photographs. I did, that was on 28 March and I have had no response.Date published: 2018-04-25Rated 1 out of 5 by jhnghs from Disappointing Lid Construction I bought several pieces of Calphalon from Williams Sonoma last Christmas and loved them so much I came back for more this year. I thought the strainer lid sounded like an intriguing idea, so I purchased two different sizes. The smaller one is fine, but larger one arrived with a dented lid that was impossible to fit on the pot. Customer Service was great, and immediately sent another one. I used it one time and noticed that the lid was again badly dented. I have no idea how it happened, since I did not drop it or bang it on anything. Before purchasing this, be aware that even when the lids are NOT dented they do not seal the pot enough to cook rice or anything that needs a closed lid. I can see through the pouring spout (if that is what you call it) even when the lid is not turned to the straining opening. I will purchase more Calphalon from Williams Sonoma because they are great pans but I will not buy this kind.Date published: 2018-03-11Rated 2 out of 5 by Tarana from Not great I bought this about a month ago and am very disappointed considering it is a Caphalon product. The spout holes are too large to drain anything less thick than linguine. You can’t really see through the glass top (whole reason to have a glass top!) because it gets condensed during cooking. The lid gets hot so you have to use a mitt and the handle gets hot by the base you have to use a mitt for that too! Don’t recommend it.Date published: 2018-02-28Rated 5 out of 5 by RandL LLC from The pour and Strain is a great feature We purchased the Pour and Strain Sause Pan last month and realy like the feature and it allows us not to have to use a colander.Date published: 2017-12-30Rated 5 out of 5 by GunnerCG from Sturdy and excellent Happy about the purchase, a sturdy cooking utensil, true to its description. The utility of straining water is a bonus!!Date published: 2017-12-27Rated 4 out of 5 by Llyn from My favorite pot! I've had this pot for a few years now. Although some of the non-stick has started to wear off, it's still my favorite pot. Even dried grits will slide right out. If you cook grits, you know how awesome that is. I wish there were more sizes offered in the Contemporary Nonstick family with the pour and strain features.Date published: 2017-08-08Rated 5 out of 5 by ChristyLoo from My favorite pot!! I absolutely LOVE this sauce pan!! It is the perfect size for most of my cooking needs. Love the strain feature!! Clean up is a breeze! The strain feature also allows just enough gap to keep your pot from boiling over and making a mess. My only complaint is that it can be a little hard to handle when straining due to the size of the handle and the weight of the pot. This pan is a WIN and I intend to purchase a second one before too long.Date published: 2017-08-04
