Rated 5 out of 5 by Pril from Great bags! I used these bags last Thanksgiving and was very pleased with the bags and brine (Rosemary and Garlic mix). Worked great and look forward to a perfect brined turkey this year!Date published: 2017-09-18Rated 5 out of 5 by Andrew from I've been using these bags a few years Love these bags, what time saver, I use the Autumn Fruit & Spice Brining Blend, I've had both prebrined I think I do a better job at bringing.Date published: 2017-09-08Rated 3 out of 5 by GrandmaBee from well designed/disappointing I purchased this item as well as the Autumn Fruits Turkey Brine at our local Williams-Sonoma store in East Cobb, Georgia. I was satisfied with the bags. They don't leak and make fitting the turkey back into the refrig easy. I used an organic turkey purchase from Costco and followed the instructions. The end result was not worth the trouble. The turkey was not flavorful and in fact was odd in taste. I will not brine again and I will most likely buy a Butterball next Thanksgiving and be done with it.Date published: 2016-11-27Rated 1 out of 5 by SJP712 from Poor Quality I have used these bags in the past and it's been hit or miss.I placed a 20LB turkey with two gallons of brine and when I went to pick up the bag to place on a tray it ripped open... The water and brine mixture was all over the kitchen floor....Date published: 2016-11-24Rated 1 out of 5 by wonks from Very Poor Quality It's the day before Thanksgiving as I type this. I made my Alton Brown brine, cooled it, washed the turkey and put the turkey and the brine in the large bag and the bag tore on the bottom in less than an hour. ( I did have the brine and the turkey in an Igloo/Playmate type cooler in the garage so luckily I avoided a complete mess ). However, for the price and being a Williams Sonoma product it is awful. Never again.Date published: 2016-11-23Rated 1 out of 5 by rs3159 from Horrible bags! My first time brining a turkey. I bought the autumn fruit and spice brine and these bags. I prepared brine according to directions, filled bag with liquid required, and placed my 16 lb. turkey inside. I put bag in a 5 gallon container. It overflowed and leaked all over my kitchen floor! Bag would not seal with zip closures on top of bag. I ended up rubber banding the top closed. Right now the turkey is in the bag in the bucket. I really pray that the brine does its job and tastes good. I will never buy these bring bags again, though. Poorly made.Date published: 2016-11-23Rated 5 out of 5 by SousAndy from Works wonderfully I've used these bags for several years and have never had a problem. We usually have about 20 some people over, so I do two turkeys... each about 16 pounds. It's easy to get the turkey's into the bags, and super easy to seal the bag. This is an excellent product that has never failed me.Date published: 2016-09-08Rated 5 out of 5 by Skyscraperdog from Christmas Goose & Thanksgiving Turkeys I love these bags. I have to say that my sympathies go out to people who have had them split as that would be very messy and would certainly challenge my good humor. BUT I, like several others, wonder if users had lifted 22 to 28 pound turkeys with pounds and pounds of liquid in them and expected bag to hold out to that weight? I haven't had a problem so far. I've brined two turkeys and as of this year my second Christmas goose and I LOVE them. No, I wouldn't pick them up when full!! I support them all the way and have them in the bottom of a roasting pan in the fridge to brine. I am buying more to have on hand. No, I do not re-use them. My reward for all the cooking I've done at that point is something I can just throw away and NOT wash. I do remember two big and two small. What happened there? Small are also good for chickens.Date published: 2015-12-26
