- Unit should remain upright at all times; if turned on its side or upside down for storage, it will need to be placed in an upright position for 24 hours prior to using.
- Do not add mix-ins larger than the size of a chocolate chip.
- Hand-wash removable lid, paddle and bowl.
- Wipe base with a damp cloth.

For an additional charge of $26 per address, we can expedite delivery to most destinations. Orders received by 9:00 p.m. ET Monday through Thursday will arrive the next business day; orders placed Friday through Sunday will arrive on the following Tuesday.

- The Best Vanilla Ice Cream Recipe
In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine the milk, cream and 1/4 cup of the sugar. With the tip of a knife, scrape the seeds from the vanilla beans into the pan, then toss the pods into the pan. Place over medium heat and bring just to a simmer, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Remove from the heat and let steep for 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a large bowl, vigorously whisk together the egg yolks, salt and the remaining 1/2 cup sugar until the mixture falls in a thick, wide ribbon when the whisk is lifted. Remove the vanilla pods from the milk mixture and reheat to a bare simmer. Slowly add the milk mixture to the yolk mixture while whisking constantly. Pour the custard back into the pan and cook gently over medium-low heat, stirring often with a wooden spoon, until thickened enough to coat the spoon, about 3 minutes. Draw a finger across the spoon. The custard is ready if it does not immediately bleed back together. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean storage container, let cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate overnight.
Pour the chilled custard into an ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Transfer to a tightly covered container and freeze for at least 6 hours before serving. Makes 1 1/2 quarts.

From hard Ice Cream to Gelato. It really has been a work horse for me, with no problems. Being it has it's own compressor, but makes the ice cream within 45 minutes. easy to clean and really has been a joy to own. It is covenant to use compared to the pre freeze models which you have to freeze 24 hours ahead of time. This freezes right away and is ready to use with in 10 minutes. Great product!! Getting your ice cream out of the mixing bowl is a pain because there's a non removable post in the middle of the bowl so scooping out the ice cream is difficult. Even the firmest setting doesn't make ready to eat ice cream as it's motor can't churn past very soft ice cream. It takes 50 minutes for a mushy consistency that still needs to be refrigerated. The dasher doesn't scrape down the sides well so a layer forms on the sides not allowing the middle to freeze as quickly creating ice crystals (rough texture of ice cream). The cool down feature isn't great. Putting the cooked custard base in an ice bath then the refrigerator works better. The mixing bowl is very narrow, and I'm unsure from what type of metal it is constructed, maybe aluminum. It does have a nice tone to tell you know when to put in add-ins, and when it's done. Mine is going to be sold at a yard sale. I saved up and bought a Lello which is quiet, easy to remove ice cream, easy to clean, all stainless steel, and makes ice cream in 20 minutes.
