- BBQ Chicken Pizza Recipe
Preheat a grill over high heat, keeping the center burner on medium-low to low heat. Lightly brush a steel grill pizza pan with olive oil.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a 12-inch round and transfer to the prepared pizza pan. Spread the sauce evenly on the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border uncovered. Sprinkle with the mozzarella and cheddar cheeses. Top with the chicken and onion.
Place the pizza pan in the center of the grill and cover the grill. Bake until the crust is crisp and well browned and the cheese is melted, 5 to 6 minutes. Transfer the pizza to a cutting board and top with cilantro leaves. Cut into slices and serve immediately. Makes one 12-inch pizza.

Ours suddenly quit working out of warranty and Breville will not work with us at all. Well, I bought my first Breville Crispy Crust Pizza Maker in 2016 from Williams-Sonoma. After using it probably 10 or so times, the electrical system shorted out, of course just a bit outside the 1-year warranty window. I figured this was an unfortunate fluke and I liked the overall concept of a pizza oven so much (great for having friends over, etc.), I discarded the first one and bought two more from from Williams-Sonoma in order to improve throughput when we had larger gatherings. Now, one of the two new ovens has shorted out, again just a couple months beyond the 1-year warranty. I love shopping at Williams-Sonoma and have high confidence in the merchandise they sell, but this particular product is clearly from a poorly-designed and defective line. I'm confident it's just a matter of time before my other newer oven malfunctions, so I plan on exploring non-Breville options. I also purchased the ovens using my AmEx card, which doubles the warranty period, so I'm hoping to get some redress there. In the meantime, I suggest that other customers not get lured by the relatively low cost of this product. It's not worth it. If you do purchase the product, I suggest you use it in a very well-ventilated space (e.g. under a good stove-top ventilation unit). It tends to produce a lot of smoke, even when the unit is well cleaned and maintained. My family loves it so much that I consider purchasing an extra one in case something were ever to happen to it. How do I know when I need a new pizza stone? It has become stained from use with baked on spills of sauce and juices. It looks well used. I clean it after each use. Is it ok that it is darkened?Hi Rosanna, Your pizza stone will accumulate discoloration with use, this is expected and even a desired result. This is called “seasoning” for the stone. While globs of ingredients and loose toppings should be removed, these left over discolorations will eventually form a very good non-stick coating on your stone that will ease the removal of pizzas you cook on it. Some consumers will simply not like the discoloration and that is perfectly fine. The “seasoning” is not a requirement at all for the use of the stone. In the Care section of the Crispy Crust™ pages, there are instructions on making a mild cleaning solution with equal parts baking soda and water. This needs to be mixed into a kind of paste and applied to the discolorations or stains. Use a toothbrush, rubbing in small circles, to work the stain out of the stone. If this method is used, please make sure to wipe off the area thoroughly and allow the stone to dry completely before storing it or using it again.Date published: 2019-02-22
