- Use & Care
- Board should be seasoned with a food-grade mineral oil before first use.
- To season the board properly, warm the mineral oil slightly and apply it in the direction of the wood grain using a clean, dry cloth. Allow the oil to soak in and repeat with another application. Allow the board to dry and wipe off any excess oil.
- Hand-wash with hot, soapy water. Dry thoroughly.
- Do not soak or submerge board in water.
- Occasionally rub with a food-safe mineral oil to keep wood from drying out.
- To sanitize, wash the board with a solution of one part vinegar to five parts water.
- Remove odors by rubbing the board with kosher or table salt and half a lemon. Let sit for 2 to 3 minutes then wipe clean with a damp cloth. Remove excess moisture with a clean paper towel and stand the board on end to air dry.
- Store in a dry area away from extreme temperatures.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MommaChance from Best and Favorite Cutting Board Ever!! I have owned this cutting board for 5 years! Holds large cuts of meat and turkey's still for carving. Husband hates to use any board other than this one!! Catches all the juice for pouring up for making sauces, when the meat has been cooked on the Green Egg or water smoker. Cleans up easy with nylon brush and soap and water. Once dried, Oil with butcher block oil before putting away! Will stay looking like new for years to come!Date published: 2017-05-02Rated 2 out of 5 by Bertietooks from Raised grain I received this cutting board as a gift. I followed all care instructions to the letter, but after two uses, the grain rose and the surface is rough. In order to get it back to its smooth finish, I have to use steel wool, which doesn't work on the little wood pyramids. I can't figure out what happened; I never soaked it, just ran hot water briefly over it to remove the juices.Date published: 2017-02-13Rated 5 out of 5 by SuSu2 from Perfectly crafted Expert craftsmanship, the perimeter wells are the proper dimensions to trap juices (of a 20 lb turkey or a roast) and the wood is absolutely beautiful. My carving board has not split due to regular oiling and I'm buying another as a gift. P.S. I recommend Boos Butcher Block Cream and Howard Butcher Block ConditionerDate published: 2015-11-20Rated 1 out of 5 by pyrprshr from Not as described This is a really good design that is not executed properly and is not accurately dimensioned on this website. If it were, in fact, 1-1/4 inches thick as described it probably would be well worth the cost. The problem is that it is barely 1" and with the depth of the juice channels there is almost no wood left in the areas where it is cut for them. As a consequence I think there is a significant risk of the board splitting along the glue lines. I am looking for another board that has spikes that will hold onto the roast I am carving but with enough depth that it will last for years.Date published: 2014-09-13Rated 5 out of 5 by AP82 from Perfect size I love having this when I'm cooking a meal full of chopped veggies. You can't beat only needing one cutting board for the whole meal. It's also a beautiful way to display a buffet of omelet fillings. I got some basic wood oil for it and love oiling it down.Date published: 2013-08-09Rated 5 out of 5 by Julene from Excellent! Not to thick. Keeps meat in place. Just what I was looking forDate published: 2012-10-11
