Altomena Olive Oil
This exquisite 100% single-estate extra-virgin olive oil comes from the historic Altomena estate in Tuscany, situated high in the hills overlooking the Arno valley. Because the area's soil and microclimate are ideal for growing olives, the estate’s land has been cultivated for more than a thousand years. Grown with out pesticides, the fruit is hand picked early in the season and immediately cold-pressed to retain its deep fruity flavors and the fresh and spicy aromas. Four classic varietals are used to produce this perfectly balanced oil: Frantoio, Moraiolo, Pendolino (3%, Leccino. The golden-green oil is exceptionally fragrant with grassy notes, with a spicy taste and a pleasantly peppery finish. Use in vinaigrettes, as a dip for crusty breads, and as a finishing drizzle for grilled foods, bean dishes and crisp-tender vegetables.

Next Day Delivery
For an additional charge of $17.50 per address, we can expedite delivery to most destinations. This service is not available for some oversize items, items shipped directly from the supplier (including perishable and custom-manufactured items), out-of-stock items and items to be shipped outside the contiguous 48 states.
Orders received by 9:00 p.m., Eastern time, Monday through Thursday will arrive the next business day; orders placed Friday through Sunday will arrive on the following Tuesday.

If within 30 days, you are dissatisfied for any reason, you may return your purchase for a refund of the merchandise value. An original receipt or gift receipt is required for all returns and exchanges. Returns with a gift receipt will be refunded in the form of a Merchandise Credit for the amount indicated on the gift receipt. Returns with original receipt will be refunded in the original form of payment, cash and check refunds over $100 will be issued as a company check (may take 14 business days from time of request).

We cannot accept returns on monogrammed, personalized, special-order items, custom upholstery, food, items shipped direct from the vendor, or on items damaged through normal wear and tear. Final sale items ending in .97 or .99 cannot be returned.

Altomena extra virgin olive oil is by far the best Tuscan oil available on the market. I have personally visited the Altomena estate in Tuscany and met the producer. During the harvest, he oversees each phase of production; from harvesting the olives to bottling the oil-I know of very few producers in Tuscany who are as attentive to detail as he is. In fact, if you visit the estate you will see award after award decorating the walls. Chemical analysis of his oil show high polyphenols which is evident by the very peppery taste. A bottle of this oil is worth every penny. I use this oil on everything: salads, vegetables, bread, and I put a small tsp in my son's oatmeal in the morning.Date published: 2014-03-13
