Rated 5 out of 5 by Cecilia61 from Wonderful little pot I've had this pot for a couple of years now. It seemed like a splurge, but so handy when I'm melting a stick of butter or boiling a cup of water. I highly recommend this pot.Date published: 2017-11-26Rated 5 out of 5 by BoilerCook from Great little pot Handy for so many things, single servings of oatmeal or grits, boiling 1 egg, reducing berries for topping, and of course melting butter. Heats up quickly, cleans easily. Nice weight to pan keeps it stable.Date published: 2016-04-28Rated 3 out of 5 by SamLightIAm from melts butter, handle too heavy This product is great at melting butter, but it doesn't stand up right on the stove unless it has at least 2 sticks of butter in the pot. It's a great little pan, but if you want to melt less than one stick of butter the handle is so heavy the pan tips over. Also this pan melts and browns a stick of butter in under 5 minutes. make sure you watch the butter being melted unless you want it to brown. Handy pouring spout on this pan is the best feature. Easy to use.Date published: 2014-11-28Rated 1 out of 5 by LEL2 from Non-functional pot - drips and spills I'm a big fan of All-Clad and have many of their cookware pieces (pots, pans, roasters0. This, however, is horribly designed. If you try to pour the liquid out slowly, the spouts are so tiny, the liquid runs down the side and bottom of the pot. The only way to pour the liquid out without creating a mess is to quickly dump the entire contents of the pot out and risk overflows and burns. So if you want to slowly add butter or other hot liquid from this pot, or even pour hot water into a cup, forget it. I called All-Clad customer service and they tried to pour liquid out and had the exact same experience -- liquid dripping down the side and bottom of the pot. It makes a huge mess -- of the pot and the table.Date published: 2014-11-12Rated 5 out of 5 by Grammajam from Has many uses This pot is very handy for many kitchen scenarios. It has the expected All-Clad quality and heft. Best of all, it is made in the USA!Date published: 2013-10-07Rated 5 out of 5 by SousAndy from Excellent pan... Not just for warming butter Do you really need a pan, just for warming butter? Of course. But, a pan like this can be used for more than just that one specific purpose. For example, when a recipe calls for warm (not cold) milk, this pan will fill the bill. In addition, I do use it to clarify butter, and to make ghee. Butter warmer, yes, but it's more than that. In the years that I have had this pan, I've put it through it's paces in my catering business, and I have never had a problem with it. Excellent addition to any kitchen.Date published: 2013-08-16Rated 5 out of 5 by NancyLH from Perfect for sauces This small warmer is heavy so it doesn't fall over, heats evenly and cleans easily. I love it for melting butter and making sauces.Date published: 2013-07-20Rated 4 out of 5 by WyoWindblown from No more microwave butter explosions! This petite pan fits on the inner, smaller ring of our ceramic cook-top perfectly and melts butter with ease (and no burning!). It's a substantial weight for its size and is easy enough to clean that even when in a hurry, I'll choose to use it rather than gamble on whether or not the butter will explode in the microwave. It's good for reheating small amounts of sauce, hot dips or heating maple syrup as well. The only drawback so far is that the pour spout dribbles a bit, but it's not too bad.Date published: 2013-05-17
