Our versatile multipot has gotten even better thanks to its redesigned perforated insert, which drains quickly and cleans up easily. Use the large pot with the insert in place for easy preparation of pasta, blanched vegetables, shellfish, boiled potatoes and corn on the cob. The included steaming basket fits inside the insert and is perfect for steaming vegetables, dim sum or fish. Use the pot on its own for canning or preparing larger batches of soups, stocks and stews.

- Stubborn food residue and stains can be removed with a nylon scrubbing pad and a fine-powdered cleanser.
- The exterior of the pot can be polished with a commercial stainless steel cleaner. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.

Orders received by 9:00 p.m. ET Monday through Thursday will arrive the next business day; orders placed Friday through Sunday will arrive on the following Tuesday.

As a few people have noted, this pot takes an unusually long time to bring water to a boil. I have used it to steam vegetables, but when I make pasta tha water continuously boils over and extinguishes the burner...despite the fact I have self-igniting burners. This is a great example of being suckered into buying something worse than what you have just because it has a high price tag and presumably respectable brand name. I used it to make pasta the first night I had it and it worked great - water drained quickly. The following day I used it to steam potatoes (instead of boiling) and it worked perfect for that. This is a large pot - so will work perfect for lasagna noodles also. Easy to clean also - loved leaving the lid on when steaming to minimize steam as well. It works good on my induction stove top. I am a bit dissappointed that it doesn't feel as sturdy as my other All Clad cookware, which is made in the USA. The All-Clad 12 Quart Perforated Multipot may not be an obvious choice for home brewing, but the size and the insert makes the Multipot the perfect kettle for brewing great beer in any kitchen. All grain brewing produces great beer and only one pot is needed when using the Australian Brew-In-A-Bag method. This method requires a 3 gallon capacity kettle, like the multipot, to brew a great tasting 1 gallon batch. The insert that comes with the multipot makes using the Brew-In-A-Bag method safe and easy. For example, during the mash phase most people find it difficult to lift a bag of wet grains out of 150 degree (F) liquid because of the risk of getting burnt and the bulkiness. Using the insert with its two handles, it is easy to lift out the bag of grains and let it drain. After draining boil the remaining liquid to make a great beer. The All-Clad 12 Quart Perforated Multipot makes brewing beer easy and safe. It is a great gift for anyone thinking of brewing in their kitchen. I used this pot tonight to make crab and was very pleased. It came to a vigorous boil in about10-11 minutes on my new induction cooktop and returned to boil quickly after putting in a load of frozen crab sections. It kept the boil for as long as I wanted it to. The pot is TALL so I had to maneuver a bit when taking out the mesh basket filled with crab legs. I debated about using the mesh insert but in hind site, it would have been difficult to remove all the legs without the basket. The basket sits nearly at the bottom of the pot so you are using the full depth of the pot to cook. Clean-up was easy. All in all, the pot performed beyond my expectations after reading a few of the negative reviews...I can only surmise that the comments that it didn't work with someone's induction cooktop were because it was 5 years ago and the induction cooktops have evolved significantly, I can relate to the comment about how long it took a full pot of water to heat on an electric cooktop...it was FOREVER! No longer. Great pot and much lighter than the D5 series or the TK pot. I used t last night and it was fine, it brought my water to a boil in 17 minutes, from cold, half full - I have an induction range. I am short and over 60 but had no difficulty using this pot. I really like it and will be using it 2-3 times a week, it takes the place of another pasta pot whose handle came off so I got all clad because I know that will never happen with this pot. The other pot had much thinner metal and came to a boil much faster and all my all clads are a bit slower but so much better so I don't mind the slightly extra time, just make allowances for it. It also replaces another larger pot that I use for corn and dried beans mostly, it was enamel on steel but the enamel wore through so I got rid of that pot too. There is no mention if this pot is good for making tomato sauce. I have had pots that scorch on inside and burn. I need a new pot, but not sure this pot is the one I need. Is the 'bottom plate' on one All-clad pot as good as the next to prevent burning?Hi Jovanna, Per our test kitchen, low heat and frequent stirring is the trick to not burning your tomato sauce. This All-Clad Multipot would be an excellent choice as its thick aluminum base ensures fast, even heating. One without it make take a while to boil water for cooking pasta or cook/heat up a full pot of sauce.Date published: 2019-01-10
