- Avoid using steel wool, steel scouring pads or harsh detergents. Never use oven cleaners or cleansers with bleach.
- Stubborn food residue and stains can be removed with a nylon scrubbing pad and a fine-powdered cleanser.
- The exterior of the pot can be polished with a commercial stainless steel cleaner. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.

The All-Clad 12 Quart Perforated Multipot may not be an obvious choice for home brewing, but the size and the insert makes the Multipot the perfect kettle for brewing great beer in any kitchen. All grain brewing produces great beer and only one pot is needed when using the Australian Brew-In-A-Bag method. This method requires a 3 gallon capacity kettle, like the multipot, to brew a great tasting 1 gallon batch. The insert that comes with the multipot makes using the Brew-In-A-Bag method safe and easy. For example, during the mash phase most people find it difficult to lift a bag of wet grains out of 150 degree (F) liquid because of the risk of getting burnt and the bulkiness. Using the insert with its two handles, it is easy to lift out the bag of grains and let it drain. After draining boil the remaining liquid to make a great beer. The All-Clad 12 Quart Perforated Multipot makes brewing beer easy and safe. It is a great gift for anyone thinking of brewing in their kitchen. I used this pot tonight to make crab and was very pleased. It came to a vigorous boil in about10-11 minutes on my new induction cooktop and returned to boil quickly after putting in a load of frozen crab sections. It kept the boil for as long as I wanted it to. The pot is TALL so I had to maneuver a bit when taking out the mesh basket filled with crab legs. I debated about using the mesh insert but in hind site, it would have been difficult to remove all the legs without the basket. The basket sits nearly at the bottom of the pot so you are using the full depth of the pot to cook. Clean-up was easy. All in all, the pot performed beyond my expectations after reading a few of the negative reviews...I can only surmise that the comments that it didn't work with someone's induction cooktop were because it was 5 years ago and the induction cooktops have evolved significantly, I can relate to the comment about how long it took a full pot of water to heat on an electric cooktop...it was FOREVER! No longer. Great pot and much lighter than the D5 series or the TK pot. I used t last night and it was fine, it brought my water to a boil in 17 minutes, from cold, half full - I have an induction range. I am short and over 60 but had no difficulty using this pot. I really like it and will be using it 2-3 times a week, it takes the place of another pasta pot whose handle came off so I got all clad because I know that will never happen with this pot. The other pot had much thinner metal and came to a boil much faster and all my all clads are a bit slower but so much better so I don't mind the slightly extra time, just make allowances for it. It also replaces another larger pot that I use for corn and dried beans mostly, it was enamel on steel but the enamel wore through so I got rid of that pot too. Ingredients go into the basket and lift out when done. It is great for corn, would be perfect for lobster. I wash the basket right away or fill with soapy water and don't find it a pain to wash. You need a large burner for this pot. My electric stove with 11" burner takes 20 minutes to bring it from very cold water to boiling with pot covered. If your largest burner is 8 or 9" wide you are going to have a problem because the pot is 10 1/2 inches wide and it will take a lot longer. It is heavy when full because there is so much in it! It is also tall. It is about 14" tall with the basket in it, and you will probably need at least 24 inches above your stove to pull the basket out when it is on top of the stove or you will have to move it first.
