Rated 3 out of 5 by Nanadeb from Pasta pot Little dissappointed!! Not good for cooking other items. Potatoes, rice, etc... Sticks to bottom of pot. So if you plan on using this for anything but pasta, don't buy.Date published: 2018-04-10Rated 1 out of 5 by Graham from Great idea, poorly executed I used this for the first time last night and was extremely disappointed. The insert is extremely lightweight and began to float in the water when it came to a boil, causing it to boil over. Water filled my stovetop and actually put out the flame. Very frustrating. Standard long noodles don’t naturally fit into the pot and because of the design, you actually can only fill the water up to the top row of holes, not the rim, making it fairly shallow. I’m returning this pot to my local WS store today. Maybe if this was an 8QT it would be more practical.Date published: 2017-10-12Rated 5 out of 5 by Mozer from Nice Quality! All parts are nice and heavy. This is very well made. To cook spaghetti, bend as it softens in the boiling water. I made pappardelle this way, (very long!), and waited for it to soften. (I don't know if it works with lasagna noodles. They might be too thick.) It will also be great for steaming vegetables. I'm glad I got it.Date published: 2017-04-26Rated 3 out of 5 by Frycook1 from Good pot but... This is listed as a pasta pot but is too shallow to cook lasagna noodles or spaghetti unless broken into smaller pieces. The pot is good quality but insert is made from thin metal -Not what I expected from All-Clad. The accessory pans are made in China, unlike my d5 stainless set which is made in the USA. Would not have purchased if I had known this.Date published: 2016-02-07Rated 5 out of 5 by PoodlesRock from Nice Pasta Pot This is very nice quality, it seems heavy duty not cheap-like. I think it was the sturdy side handles and the good price that made me ultimately choose this model. The 6 qt. seems the perfect size too. I will definitely look to other items in this line when I need something else.Date published: 2015-06-07Rated 2 out of 5 by KCWi from good size but.. This is a useful size pot but the insert strainer doesn't have enough holes and drains slow. The handles get very hot too.Date published: 2015-05-30Rated 5 out of 5 by JAAM from Great Pasta Pot I have several All-Clad pots and love the quality. The pasta pot did not disappoint. It is good for about a pound of pasta. Make sure you do not overfill the pot with water otherwise the water will spill over the top. I looked at other pots on the Williams-Sonoma site and was very glad I purchased the All-Clad.Date published: 2015-02-19Rated 5 out of 5 by Svworkingmom from What a fun pot Having just bought a new induction range, I had an excuse to buy new pots & pans. I Love this pot! I can use it for a soup pot, or use the strainer for pasta or any other quickly cooked item. Did I say love it? I'd buy it agan.Date published: 2015-02-19
