Rated 4 out of 5 by Robert Alan from A very pretty pot. The only drawback is you have to be careful not to overfill with water as it tends to overboil onto the stove.Date published: 2020-01-16Rated 5 out of 5 by Mike20 from Great pot This is a great pot. I've used it several times for pasta and as a soup pot. Uniform heating is the biggest advantage.Date published: 2020-01-14Rated 5 out of 5 by Schooch from Perfect fit I always wanted to try a pasta pot and this seemed the size we needed as we have a microwave over the cooktop. A larger one would not allow the strainer to be completely removed unless it was moved almost to the edge of the counter. This one is the perfect height and makes enough pasta for us.Date published: 2020-01-12Rated 5 out of 5 by 2001vermont from Great features, perfect size. The quality is outstanding and it works perfectly, heats up and maintains heat.Date published: 2020-01-09Rated 5 out of 5 by DaveS from Just the right size Just the right size to boil one gallon of water and a pound of pasta. Top quality, solid product.Date published: 2020-01-02Rated 5 out of 5 by SusyQ from Perfect size for a family of four! I bought this pot in October and have used it countless times already. The pot is beautiful and a perfect size for a family of four.Date published: 2019-12-09Rated 5 out of 5 by Felix from Great Pot We bought the 6-Qt Pasta Pot and cooked with it several times. We own several other cookware from AllClad and love the products.Date published: 2019-12-06Rated 1 out of 5 by Oke of Okehurst from Not what I was expecting My review of this pot concurs with the prior review where the user was disappointed with the performance. I've cooked pasta for years, hundreds of times, and using this new pot was a DISASTER. It took forever to come to a boil, never really reached a "rolling" boil, and really cramped my style. The previous review accuratley describes just WHY it's a flop, design-wise. Once I re-contemplated the design, I quickly realized that with 2 pot bottoms, it's unlikely to ever work to my liking. My plan is to return it. It's a shame that such a well-made pot has none of the performance I was getting from an all-aluminum lesser-quality vessel. It's OUTTA here!Date published: 2019-12-03
How do I use this for pasta? I usually boil a mostly fully pot of water before inserting pasta? How much water should I use in the 6 qt pot?Hi Mary, It depends on how much pasta you plan to make. General rule of thumb is 1 pound of pasta to 4 quarts (16 cups) water. Place the strainer/insert into the outer pot, add water, place on stove and add pasta once the water rapidly boils.Date published: 2020-01-07
Is the all clad pasta pot oven proof? I make my soups in the oven.Hi Sandy, This pot is oven and broiler safe.Date published: 2019-11-26
