- Slow Cooker Lasagna Recipe
Feed a crowd with this flavor-packed lasagna, which cooks to bubbling perfection in a slow cooker. If you’re lucky, you’ll have leftovers to enjoy for lunch the next day.
- 1 Tbs. olive oil
- 2 lb. Italian sausage, casings removed
- 2 jars (each 24 oz.) tomato sauce
- 2 cups water
- 1 lb. whole-milk ricotta cheese
- 2 Tbs. chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
- Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
- 18 ruffle-edged lasagna noodles (not no-boil noodles)
- 1 1/2 lb. mozzarella cheese, grated
- 2 oz. Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, finely grated
- Thinly sliced fresh basil for garnish
In the stovetop-safe insert of slow cooker over medium heat, warm the olive oil. Add the sausage and cook, breaking up any large chunks with a wooden spoon, until the meat is browned, 10 to 12 minutes. Add the tomato sauce and water and bring to a simmer. Transfer the sauce to a large bowl.
In another bowl, stir together the ricotta, parsley, salt and pepper. Set aside.
Spread a thin layer of the sauce on the bottom of the slow-cooker insert. Cover the sauce with a single layer of uncooked lasagna noodles (about 3), breaking the noodles as needed to fit. Spread about 1/3 cup of the ricotta mixture over the noodles. Top with about 2 cups of the sauce, then sprinkle with about 1 cup of the mozzarella and 1/4 cup of the Parmigiano-Reggiano. Repeat the layering 4 more times, starting with the noodles.
Transfer the insert to the slow-cooker base, cover and cook on low according to the manufacturer’s instructions until the noodles are tender and cooked through, about 4 hours.
Position a rack in the center of an oven and preheat to broil.
Transfer the slow-cooker insert to the oven and broil until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown, 6 to 8 minutes. Let the lasagna rest for 20 minutes before serving. Garnish with basil and serve immediately. Serves 12.

- Chicken Taco Salad
To prepare the chicken, in a large fry pan over medium heat, warm the oil until almost smoking. Add the onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the chicken, cumin, chili powder, cayenne, tomatoes, cilantro and oregano and stir to combine. Season with salt. Stir in the stock and cook until most of the liquid has been absorbed and the tomatoes are soft, 5 to 10 minutes. Taste and adjust the seasonings with salt. Set aside.
Line a baking sheet with paper towels. In a 4-quart saucepan over medium heat, pour in oil to a depth of 3 inches and heat to 360°F on a deep-frying thermometer. Using a tortilla basket according to the manufacturer's instructions, fry the tortillas 1 at a time until golden brown, 2 to 3 minutes. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet.
Place each fried tortilla on an individual plate. Top with lettuce, beans, chicken, cheese, tomatoes, cilantro, avocado and salsa, dividing equally. Pass additional salsa alongside. Serves 6.

Williams Sonoma The New Slow Cooker Cookbook
Rated 1 out of 5 by Vicki from DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE When one thinks All Clad, one thinks highest quality product worth the extra cost. However, with this slow cooker it could not be a bigger piece of garbage. If I could give 0 stars I would. This crock pot should have NEVER made it out of the design phase and onto store shelves, and DID NOT have any QA/QC from All Clad. This makes me seriously think twice about buying anything from this brand again. Seems many other reviewers are having the same peeling insert issues I am but that was just something I dealt with since the very first use/wash. But I am writing ~2.5-3 years after purchase with a dead slow cooker on my hands. Came home after a long day at work to a raw meal. Tried again and the heating coils heat up normally but then die after 60ish minutes and turns ice cold, all the while the timer and screen are reading correctly as if it's cooking. All-Clad, shame on you for taking my money and running. Shame on you for putting out a product with bottom rung quality. Shame on you for not doing proper design and testing. And shame on you for tarnishing your product name.Date published: 2018-01-03Rated 1 out of 5 by Pat Y from Looks Good but doesn't work I couldn't wait to get this cooker I wanted it for so long. I ask for it for Christmas so I went the day after and bought it. I was so excited went to grocery store and bought groceries came home prepared my food washed the insert and pluged it in and it did not work. I tried it several times according to the directions and nothing. I was so disappointed, I called the store they ask me to return it, I thought about it all night long and decided to return it and get my money back. I can buy a 25.00 and it will work better than the 200.00 cooker that looks goood.Date published: 2018-01-01Rated 1 out of 5 by Beth from Insert non-stick is peeling There are similar slow cookers on the market for far less money. I'm very disappointed with the poor quality of the insert on this one. This is not what I had come to expect of All-Clad and I will think twice before buying another All-Clad appliance of any kind.Date published: 2017-12-25Rated 5 out of 5 by Frugal Foodie from Look for an older model. Mine 10+ years old and going strong If you do not like the surface of the current aluminum insert, you might try looking for an insert from the original all clad slow cooker. Mine is intact and performs beautifully. No flaking, not even any scratches. I am very careful how I store it and use wooden spatulas and scoops when cooking and serving from it. My lid is all metal whch predates the glass lid. The electronics have never failed either. Always refer to the users' manual to ensure you are using it correctly. Good luck finding an older model!Date published: 2017-12-24Rated 1 out of 5 by AMJ2105 from Peeling Non Stick coating We received this as a wedding gift in 2015. Despite using the correct utensils and washing properly, the non stick coating is peeling and bubbling, leaving exposed metal beneath!Date published: 2017-12-17Rated 1 out of 5 by J.R. from I am thowing mine out today :( We own several All Clad pans, and when our basic Rival Crock Pot died after 30 years, we thought to upgrade. All Clad cooker was properly maintained and used often. Iinside blistering occured within a year. Went to plug in today: no read out. Please don't waste your money. Very disappointed.Date published: 2017-12-17Rated 1 out of 5 by Broken-hearted from PLEASE FIX THE INSERT PEELING PROBLEM I loved this slow cooker when I bought it. Like really loved it. I bragged to people how fantastic it was to be able to brown your meat right in the slow cooker and then kick it over to the slow setting to finish the job. Magical. Until...the insert started to crack and peel and I discovered that this is an incredibly common problem. And apparently they are doing nothing about it?!? For the price point, this is ridiculous. And super disappointing. Save your money.Date published: 2017-12-10Rated 1 out of 5 by Unhappy from Overpriced Junk Have had for a while but very infrequent usage. Coating on insert continued to bubble up with use and eventually has broken off so now getting into food. Allclad says too bad buy a new one(insert) but they don't even sell. Like I would pay more money for defective item. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!Date published: 2017-11-30
