Rated 5 out of 5 by cmcinc from Very Versatile Pot This Grain and Bean Pot is great. I have made risotto, polenta, basmati rice, beans and it does a great job. Love the responsiveness of the All Clad Copper Core and super easy to clean.Date published: 2017-07-04Rated 5 out of 5 by mky98 from Rarely makes it into the cablinet I purchased this pot several months ago when I installed a induction cooktop. In all that time this pot has rarely seen the inside of a cabinet. It is almost always goes from the drying rack back to the stove. It is almost always the first pot put in service. The size, shape and composition makes it a dream to cook with and we always get great results. It seems that many reviewers fail to recognize the benefits of cooking with copper and don't compensate for more efficient cookware. An added benefit is the lid sticks to a magnet. So, I mounted rare earth magnets inside the cabinet door so the lids are immediately available without having to dig around the cabinet.Date published: 2016-04-21Rated 1 out of 5 by brname from Horrible....much better options available I regularly cook rice in this, but almost always end up burnt rice at the bottom. Dissapointed that I bought this. I am guessing the copper bottom is the problem.Wish I could return it. I also have the All-Clad Steel only Saucier (without copper) that is SO much better for cooking rice. It is in the same price range. I would highly recommend the Steel Saucier instead of this copper bottom Pot.Date published: 2016-03-18Rated 1 out of 5 by dessay13 from Maybe I'm missing something This pot has quickly evaporated liquid and scorched the bottom of plain rice, oatmeal, risotto, etc. before it's fully cooked. We've tried different burners, very low heat settings, adding extra water while cooking, checking and stirring constantly, etc. and it just doesn't perform well. I went back to my 3 qt Wolfgang Puck (I know, cheap), and it cooked rice beautifully without my having to watch it. I am absolutely baffled. I was so excited about upgrading to All-Clad and I'm very disappointed.Date published: 2016-03-12Rated 3 out of 5 by MNCook63 from Nice pot but not as good as other copper core It is a very good looking pot. Easy to clean, not too heavy. I have not so powerful ( high wattage) cook top so I am counting on the maximum heat transfer property of this copper core pot. However, it is not as good as the one I had purchased a few years back (5 Q size). I can't feel the copper core power in this pot. I could just purchase a cheaper stainless steel version.Date published: 2015-11-26Rated 5 out of 5 by gnch from Incredible pot for stove top and ovens This pot is one of the most useful, and functional pots of its size that I have ever used, and I have been cooking for over 35 years. It is great at simmer and slow cooking, yet can also function well at higher heat. Just a general all-round winner for boiling, slow-cooking, and reheating foods such as, beans, soups, stocks, cereals, stews, sauces, etc. I have been a copper-core fan for several years, but especially appreciate that this pot does not have the usual long handles, and so can function well in the oven.Date published: 2015-04-23Rated 5 out of 5 by koosh from A must have for your collection! I use this pot not only for pasta, but also for sauces, small meals, etc. I especially like the fact that the handles are smaller and make it easier to negotiate other pots and pans with longer handles around the range. Stains are easy to remove using barkeepers friend.Date published: 2015-01-10Rated 5 out of 5 by Natab0525 from 10 stars!!! I am in love with this pot!!! Its the perfect size for EVERYTHING! I have a small family so this is ideal for boiling pasta, cooking rice, sauces, soup, baked mac and cheese...its easily one of my most used pieces of cookware. If anyone is on the fence about it, get it! You won't be sorry!Date published: 2014-07-18
