Rated 5 out of 5 by Sandy from Everything Pot I am a new user of All-Clad and have chosen the copper core line. I am enjoying each piece and learning how to use them. As a Senior, I have gone through many other brands of cookwear. I wish I had found All-Clad when I started out. I am very impressed knowing that I can someday pass them along to my younger family members.Date published: 2017-09-06Rated 5 out of 5 by ReRe from Lovely to see and great to cook with. This is beautiful to look at and it works beautifully too. Great for stews, soups, casseroles, etc.Date published: 2017-09-05Rated 5 out of 5 by cmcinc from My favorite All Clad Copper Core I love this Dutch Oven. It makes stews unbelievably better than other pots I've used. I have made Lamb Stew, Beef Stew, Pork Stew and a Pot Roast and all have come out so tender and delicious. This is really a great core pot to have. The responsiveness is fantastic and clean up is so easy. Buy this one, you'll love it.Date published: 2017-07-04Rated 2 out of 5 by USAFfan from Ran into a problem. LOVE this pan! However, it pitted after only a short time, like around 2 months. And I missed the vendor return date, which is always hassle free. I feel like I'm getting the standard, corporate line here at All-Clad. They're telling me that pitting is normal. Sorry, I'm just not buying that. The company I bought it from has replaced TWO of butter warmer pans, and been VERY apologetic for having to do so....for pitting!!! Not sure I'll return the dutch oven to All-Clad to "evaluate", as they say, since they've already told me that pitting is normal. I have a complete set that I put together myself, so I didn't get any discounts, 10 pots/pans in all, not including lids. I love this set, I truly do. Especially, the dutch oven. But the email I got in response was weird, since it "presumed" I was talking about stainless steel pans. Uh, it's the copper core series, so how is stainless steel even a question? Then the disclaimers started, "pitting is normal". Frankly, shame on All-Clad the Company. Love the pans, not so much the corporate mindset behind them.Date published: 2017-03-23Rated 5 out of 5 by Winterlight from An elegant addition to my All-Clad repertoire This dutch oven makes braising and other oven-cooked items easy; there are no hot spots to cause burning; and it's easy to clean up.Date published: 2016-11-19Rated 5 out of 5 by JerseyBoyRick from Love the Dutch Oven! Have only used it a few times, but I love this item. Copper Core items are sturdy and some may even say heavy. I appreciate the sturdiness of the pan. Simply stated: it does what it is supposed to do - long, slow cooking with no burning.Date published: 2016-11-02Rated 5 out of 5 by hopeh from Best pot I've ever owned I've owned a variety of Dutch ovens over a lifetime, but this was my first A-C in the CC line. I had some doubts about whether or not it would be so much better than A-C's standard stainless, but risked giving it a try. It's really worth the extra expense if you can afford it, because it IS that much better. (I saved up for a year.) I use it for everything, and everything comes out perfectly, including large batches of authentic Indian basmati rice, a very fragile product. The lid is almost air-tight, so rice is a snap. It responds almost instantly to higher or lower flames, giving you complete control. It cleans like a dream, and if you refresh it with a Bar Keeper's Friend rub-down (using a soft pad), it gets all its shine back. I've had mine a few years now, cooking with it weekly, and it's as pretty as it was right out of the box. Yup, I love this beautiful Dutch oven, and can't recommend it too highly.Date published: 2015-07-23Rated 5 out of 5 by Grammaskitchen from Awesome Product I have looked at this Dutch oven for probably a year, but was not sure I wanted to pay this much. Finally 2 months ago I decided I was going to treat myself to something I really wanted. Oh am I glad I did! This is a fabulous product and I use it at least once a week. I cook for large family dinners and this Dutch oven handles whatever I come up with for dinner. It is beautiful, cooks at a lower temperature then other Dutch ovens because of the quality of the pan and it's multi-layer construction. As I write this I am simmering beef short ribs in a red wine sauce for an English Beef pie. The short ribs browned evenly, beautifully and quickly. I deglazed the pan with the red wine, reduced it, added the remaining ingredients and it has easily accommodated 3 lbs of short ribs, a lb of pearl onions and 8 cups of liquid. The oven cleans easily and with a bit of BarKeepers Friend polishes up quickly and looks like it's never been used.Date published: 2014-04-05
