- Slow Cooker Lasagna Recipe
Feed a crowd with this flavor-packed lasagna, which cooks to bubbling perfection in a slow cooker. If you’re lucky, you’ll have leftovers to enjoy for lunch the next day.
- 1 Tbs. olive oil
- 2 lb. Italian sausage, casings removed
- 2 jars (each 24 oz.) tomato sauce
- 2 cups water
- 1 lb. whole-milk ricotta cheese
- 2 Tbs. chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
- Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
- 18 ruffle-edged lasagna noodles (not no-boil noodles)
- 1 1/2 lb. mozzarella cheese, grated
- 2 oz. Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, finely grated
- Thinly sliced fresh basil for garnish
In the stovetop-safe insert of slow cooker over medium heat, warm the olive oil. Add the sausage and cook, breaking up any large chunks with a wooden spoon, until the meat is browned, 10 to 12 minutes. Add the tomato sauce and water and bring to a simmer. Transfer the sauce to a large bowl.
In another bowl, stir together the ricotta, parsley, salt and pepper. Set aside.
Spread a thin layer of the sauce on the bottom of the slow-cooker insert. Cover the sauce with a single layer of uncooked lasagna noodles (about 3), breaking the noodles as needed to fit. Spread about 1/3 cup of the ricotta mixture over the noodles. Top with about 2 cups of the sauce, then sprinkle with about 1 cup of the mozzarella and 1/4 cup of the Parmigiano-Reggiano. Repeat the layering 4 more times, starting with the noodles.
Transfer the insert to the slow-cooker base, cover and cook on low according to the manufacturer’s instructions until the noodles are tender and cooked through, about 4 hours.
Position a rack in the center of an oven and preheat to broil.
Transfer the slow-cooker insert to the oven and broil until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown, 6 to 8 minutes. Let the lasagna rest for 20 minutes before serving. Garnish with basil and serve immediately. Serves 12.

- Chicken Taco Salad
To prepare the chicken, in a large fry pan over medium heat, warm the oil until almost smoking. Add the onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the chicken, cumin, chili powder, cayenne, tomatoes, cilantro and oregano and stir to combine. Season with salt. Stir in the stock and cook until most of the liquid has been absorbed and the tomatoes are soft, 5 to 10 minutes. Taste and adjust the seasonings with salt. Set aside.
Line a baking sheet with paper towels. In a 4-quart saucepan over medium heat, pour in oil to a depth of 3 inches and heat to 360°F on a deep-frying thermometer. Using a tortilla basket according to the manufacturer's instructions, fry the tortillas 1 at a time until golden brown, 2 to 3 minutes. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet.
Place each fried tortilla on an individual plate. Top with lettuce, beans, chicken, cheese, tomatoes, cilantro, avocado and salsa, dividing equally. Pass additional salsa alongside. Serves 6.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Mssmccoy from Loved it when it worked I had mine for about 5 years. My hubby bought it as a gift. (I’m a practical lady so I loved it) but using it about 5 times a year since I received it, it died. I would set the timer to 6 and it would turn off after about an hour. You had to constantly check to see if it was still on. The most expensive crockpot I’ve owned and definitely the worst one.Date published: 2019-11-30Rated 1 out of 5 by Ericka from Lid peels Just like everyone else, the lid peels. I am surprised they still sell this product with all the horrible reviews.Date published: 2019-11-28Rated 2 out of 5 by Doreydo from Insert peels mechanism dies I have purchased many of these. Especially when WS has a lifetime return policy. All my inserts have peeled and one heating mechanism died. I didn’t mind because when it works it’s awesome and I could just return, but now with the new return policy I wouldn’t waste the money. It’s unfortunate they can no longer stand by their products, because people buy stuff used and return it. Hurts the rest of us honest folks.Date published: 2019-11-26Rated 2 out of 5 by JDCII from Insert Bubbled and Flaked I have the same problem. Loved the cooker but it is now useless with an insert that flakes non-stick surface into the food. It would be nice if All-Clad would sell an improved replacement insert. But perhaps it is better for them to try to sell me another new unit. Nice try. BTW, we treated this like a baby. No metal just silicone tools, hand cleaned, etc.Date published: 2019-11-24Rated 1 out of 5 by Cmsoj from Stopped working and insert is peeling Used less than twenty times. Stopped heating after an hour, leaving spoiled food. The insert was great because it was light weight, but it started peeling. So disappointed in this allclad piece of equipment. Called Williams Sonoma (purchased there) and was told to A, not buy this brand as they are new making these and B to call the company directly, which I did and was given no support at all other than to buy a new unit. UGGGHHHH. Steer clear of this purchase!Date published: 2019-11-20Rated 1 out of 5 by Stern in ca from Tiny bubbles... Love this slow cooker since I can put inset on the stove top. As other readers say, I’ve only used appropriate utensils and not heated to extreme temps but bottom has bubbled. Is there a replacement other than non stick??Date published: 2019-11-19Rated 1 out of 5 by m. spence from Insert is now unusable I bought this several years ago and loved it. I even gave as a gift to newly married granddaughter. Have to tell her now to be careful and watch as insert coating will eventually starting coming off, as mine has and so many other customers, too.. Very dangerous to swallow that stuff! What a shame that All-Clad has such terrible customer service. Will not buy their products, even the good ones, and will be sure to tell everyone I know to stay away from them, too.Date published: 2019-11-17Rated 1 out of 5 by Liguini69 from Liner peels After having for about 1-2 years max the liner started to bubble and peel. All clad will not replace it. The insert costs almost as much to replace as the entire slow cooker cost. I did replace it because I love how the slow cooker looks and functions. It is a shame that the company cannot fix this problem. I will say that my replacement lasted a little longer but now here I am again with the same problem. Very expensive to continue to replace this product.Date published: 2019-11-17
I'm on my 2nd non-stick insert and it has also started to peel. The mechanics of the machine still work though. Can I use a ceramic insert instead with the same mechanical device? Hi SWinMD - Please contact the All Clad customer service team at 800-255-2523 for a replacement insert. We do not recommend mixing the ceramic and non-stick inserts as they were designed for the technical base that they are sold with.Date published: 2019-06-12
