Rated 5 out of 5 by Pomihj from LOVE IT!! I brought this about 8 months ago and I can not imagine not having this. Also easy to clean compared to others!Date published: 2018-06-15Rated 3 out of 5 by Franjan from Suprised it broke so soon Ive used this heavily in the year that I have owned it and loved it, but was surprised to notice one day that there was a crack in the handle at the "neck" of the press just where the handle meets the box part. I was so surprised as I thought this was a high quality item until this happened. I use this everyday, but only for garlic and for the most part, I even peel the garlic to make sure I get the most out of each clove so there wasn't high force on it when I would press. I just thought for the price it would last more than a year...Date published: 2017-11-02Rated 5 out of 5 by pajamasmith from THIS is the garlic press you want!!!! We put garlic presses through HARD labor at our house. I'd had one that lasted for YEARS but it got ruined during a move. Then, I tried several and they broke after a couple of months each. I was really upset when it finally occurred to me to try Williams Sonoma. I told the sales associate that I was sick and tired of paying $20 - 40 dollars a pop for stupid garlic presses that couldn't withstand the pressures of pressing. I told her it was Williams Sonoma's turn to try to solve this problem. She proudly and calmly walked me over to this one (item #8161556) and said, "THIS is the garlic press you want. I promise you. You will be happy!" Well, today, August 5, 2017, I was just cleaning out my kitchen drawers and I found the receipt for this purchase under the drawer liner. It was dated March 25, 2016 and she had written a note on it: "Will honor up to a 6 month return." I also noticed she had discounted the price. The beautiful, wonderful, gleaming, POWERFUL little garlic press is still doing hard time at our house and I could not be happier with it NOR with the superior customer service I received from Williams Sonoma (and Mandy).Date published: 2017-08-06Rated 5 out of 5 by Maggie8888 from So far, it is the best I bought this garlic press several years ago at a WS store. It is still excellent; once I used it several times, I threw my old one to the trash. This WS one is so easy to wash, and clever designed.Date published: 2017-03-12Rated 5 out of 5 by LilMsFoodieSWFL from If you use garlic, you really need this press Usually single function tools like this are not worth it but this is amazing. I think I can use it to get ginger juice as well.Date published: 2017-02-20Rated 5 out of 5 by livelaughloveeat from Garlic lovers dream I had to replace my favorite garlic presses after years and years and really wanted the same one but it is no longer made. I ordered this one from WS because I have had great luck with other WS brand products I have already purchased. Just like the other WS products I have used, this WS garlic press minces garlic with ease - holds large cloves and when you squeeze the handles to press the garlic, it presses the garlic through. Others I had tried only smashed the garlic cloves with very little garlic making it through the press. Way to go WS! I use my garlic press almost every day.Date published: 2017-01-17Rated 5 out of 5 by mermaid1111 from Works like a charm With all of the choices out there, It took me a long time to decide on this one. All of the other top contenders had bad reviews along with the good, and this one had no bad reviews. All of the high end garlic presses were said to have garlic ooze out of the side while pressing. This one does the same with elephant garlic, but I solved the problem by cutting the clove in 1/2. The well is big enough to handle quite a large clove or several smaller cloves at once. I can press with the skin on which saves a lot of time. The garlic comes out perfectly & uniformly minced, and the press is easy to clean. Since all of the other presses ooze out when the well is too full, I can't complain about that. I just learned how to work around it. Very simple: If the clove is too big for the well, cut it in half. The well is 3x's the size of my old garlic press; this only happens with the giant elephant garlic. I am VERY happy with my choice.Date published: 2016-03-29Rated 5 out of 5 by NancyBig from This Garlic Press is Worth It! When my old Williams Sonoma garlic press broke I was bummed. I loved that press and used it all the time. Unfortunately, they no longer offered the one I had. As a result, and based on reviews, I ordered this garlic press. Pricey, yes. But, it is wonderful. It is so much easier to use than my previous one. The garlic goes through easily, as if it is very sharp. There is much more garlic pressed, than with my previous one. It is easy to access and get the garlic out, although my previous one had a reverse push through I thought was even easier. I would order again in a heartbeat.Date published: 2016-03-10
