Rated 3 out of 5 by Janethk from Difficult to get corners clean The pan is non stick but it’s very difficult to get the corners clean. I’m down to using my fingernails which is not something I wanted to do. I don’t like the thought of having bits of meatloaf still hiding out of sight. I went to the website to see if it is dishwasher safe — when I saw it wasn’t I decided to write a reviewDate published: 2019-11-17Rated 5 out of 5 by BlackCrow69 from excellent loaf pans I bought one of these a while back and liked it so much I went and got another one. I find the pans clean up easily and the bread comes out readily. I am sure to coat the pans with real butter even though they say, "nonstick." The recipes I use always suggest coating the pan so I follow that advice. The loaves bake beautifully as well. So far been very happy with this product.Date published: 2019-06-14Rated 1 out of 5 by Khalucy from Save your money I bought this a year ago. The “Goldtouch” started peeling after the 2nd use. Had to throw it away and bought something much more reasonably priced and has performed perfectly.Date published: 2019-05-25Rated 1 out of 5 by ElleDiMi from Totally NOT worth it! I bought this 1 lb. loaf pan because my mom has the Goldtouch cookie sheets and pie tins and we both love using them. This pan, however, totally misses the mark. I had a wary first impression after washing the pan and having tons of water that had traveled up the "folds" of the sides keep seeping out after thorough drying. That impression worsened as my beautiful sweet bread got stuck to the bottom of the pan, and was totally ruined (despite following all good loaf-baking and pan instructions). To add further insult to injury, the pan was incredibly difficult to clean with bits of the bread crumbs getting lodged into the envelope-style corners that even the slimmest cleaning bristles couldn't reach. Despite purchasing this loaf pan on sale for under $15, it was immediately returned. I truly expected more from Williams-Sonoma Goldtouch branded bakeware.Date published: 2019-03-01Rated 2 out of 5 by AMaile from GLUE is the WORST My mom bought this for me because she raves about these pans and I was excited to use it. Well, first one I had received had a huge dent so I exchanged it. After that, my next pan had the most annoying glue. It would NOT come off the pan. I spent multiple days trying to get the pan clean from the glue. Super annoyed. Please fix the glue, this is ridiculous.Date published: 2019-01-01Rated 5 out of 5 by Laura from Great Bread Pan I bought this pan to make sandwich bread in, and without using any oil, it releases the bread with just a plastic spatula along the sides. Beautiful golden crust. Great pan.Date published: 2018-10-07Rated 5 out of 5 by B Rab from Best Housewarming Gift!! Had to track down where my friend got this pan from so I could order another! I received this as a gift with a sourdough starter when I moved into my new house. Its been amazing having fresh baked sourdough and, since this pan is so easy to bake with, I have actually continued making it every week. Recently I started making other breads, (using the zucchini from my garden mainly, so delicious!) and gearing up for fall I figured it would be time to think about getting another for Pumpkin Bread season. Loafs bake evenly and release right out when cooled, would recommend for anyone looking to step up their baking or even for the once and a while bread maker - makes the perfect loaf!Date published: 2018-08-08Rated 1 out of 5 by jude from bread never releases without digging it out These pans have such great reviews, but I have had the same experience one reviewer had except mine have never released my bread, and I bake bread 2-4x a week and have given up using the Goldtouch pans. I have followed all manufacturer's directions. What is going wrong?Date published: 2018-04-21
I have a recipe that calls for a 9" x 5" loaf pan. Which one of these loaf pans would yield the best results?Hi GCNyC, We recommend the 1 lb. loaf pan as it measures 10" x 5" x 3" high.Date published: 2019-11-10
I have a recipe that calls for either a 9 inch round cake pan or a loaf pan. Which of the two sizes of your loaf pans is most equivalent to a 9 inch round cake pan?Hi Sharon72, The volume of batter must be taken into account when substituting one pan size for another in a recipe. A 9 x 1 1/2" round cake pan holds approximately 6 cups of batter; a 9 x 2" holds approximately 8 cups. Loaf pan equivalents would be 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2" (6 cups); 9 x 5 x 3" (8 cups). Our 1 lb. loaf pan would hold 6 cups; 1 1/2 lb. would hold 8 cups.Date published: 2019-08-08
I have 2 of the large loaf pans and have bread recipe that calls for 2 six cup loaf pans. Are the large 10 x 5 loaf pans a 6 cup size?Hi digit, Our 1.5-lb. loaf pan is 10" x 5" x 3" high and approximately 8 cups.Date published: 2019-01-23
I own two of the gold loaf pans. Work great, love them, still, I have a recipe for fruitcake that calls for lining the pans with parchment paper. Is that really necessary with these pans?Hi Skiburg, Parchment should not be necessary in our Goldtouch pans. However creating a parchment paper “sling” can help add some extra assurance and make it easier to lift your fruitcake out of the pan.Date published: 2019-07-24
