Fresno chiles are one of the favorite ingredients of Jeremiah Doherty, beverage director at Los Angeles bar and restaurant Bar Amá. “They add a good kick of spice and some color to the cocktail as well,” he explains, which is why he chooses them for this drink that perfectly balances sweet, tart and spicy flavors.

In a cocktail shaker, muddle 2 of the chile slices with the agave nectar. Fill the shaker with ice and add the gin, St-Germain and lemon and lime juices. Shake vigorously and strain into a glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with the remaining chile ring and serve immediately. Makes 1 drink.
