Lychee Lemonade
With its delicate floral sweetness and subtle tropical aroma, lychee syrup adds pizzazz to this nonalcoholic drink that’s perfect for spring celebrations. Look for the syrup online, at liquor stores and at gourmet grocers.
Ingredients
- 2 oz. (60 ml) lychee syrup
- 1 Tbs. plus 1 tsp. fresh lemon juice
- 1 Tbs. sugar
- Pinch of kosher salt
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish
- Lemon wheel for garnish
Directions
Chill a cocktail glass in the freezer for at least 20 minutes.
In a blender, combine the lychee syrup, lemon juice, sugar, salt, 1/4 cup (2 fl. oz./60 ml) water and a handful of ice. Blend on high speed until thoroughly combined, 10 to 15 seconds.
Fill the chilled glass with crushed ice. Strain the lychee mixture into the glass, garnish with the mint leaves and lemon wheel, and serve immediately. Makes 1 drink.
