Cocktails should be fun, easy and, most importantly, delicious. In that spirit, Williams Sonoma is partnering with Cocktail Courier to deliver kits right to your doorstep that include everything you need to whip up craft cocktails from the world's best professional bartenders. The recipe for our Improper Gin and Tonic was created by Tommy Klus, bartender at La Moule in Portland, Oregon. His cocktail refreshes the classic gin and tonic with the addition of lemon, lavender and rosemary. The piney aroma of rosemary plays off the botanicals in the gin, with a bright pop of citrus rounded out by the lavender.

Ingredients

Directions

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the gin, lemon juice and bitters. Shake vigorously until well chilled, about 10 seconds. Strain into a chilled, ice-filled Collins glass. Top with the tonic water. Twist the strip of lemon zest over the drink and drop into the drink. Garnish with the rosemary sprig and serve. Makes 1 drink.
